iodine tincture

i'm an antiseptic, i also called a weak iodine solution. I usually composed of 2–7% elemental iodine, along with potassium iodide or sodium iodide, dissolved in a mixture of ethanol and water. My solutions are characterized by the presence of alcohol. M in use since 1908 in pre-operative skin preparation.
