As I sit here reminiscing, I thought I'd share with you 23 important lessons and words of wisdom that I'll be keeping top of mind as we usher in the new year (feel free to save and share with others).
1) Don’t chase money, chase a purpose.
2) The smarter you get, the faster you lose friends.
3) Professionals manage risk, amateurs anticipate returns. Always think in probabilities.
4) Don’t be led astray by your desires.
5) Money doesn't change you. It only amplifies who you truly are.
6) Not everyone by your side is on your side.
7) Time is money, but money isn’t everything.
8) No one is coming to save you. Your life is 100% your responsibility.
9) Making money isn’t hard. Knowing how to keep it and grow it is the hard part.
10) Never have just one source of income.
11) Be a part of a close-knit community of like-minded people.
12) Materialism and objects are overrated. There is peace and serenity in simple things.
13) The path to wealth is simple: earn more, spend less and keep investing.
14) Money is a horrible master, but a great employee. Make your money work for you.
15) Health is wealth. Look after and nurture your mind, body and soul.
16) You are one choice away from changing everything. For better or for worse.
17) Forgive yourself, we all live and learn. Life is too short to carry such burdens.
18) The biggest fools are those that believe marriage licenses mean love, job titles mean success, religion means goodness, and money means contentment.
