$4.2B: hii ndo sababu moja kwanini Kenya hukopa hela

Kwahiyo unaamini sijasoma the whole report?

Not only that, the fact is only small amount of money reaches to the intended destinations, how comes with bigger budget of education but still big proportion of pupils sits on the floor?, why with that big budget but GoK fails to provide free secondary education?

The difference between Kenya and Tanzania is; In Tanzania at leat 90% of the money will reach its destination, in Kenya less than 40% will do the same. Poor leadership, corruption and despotism are killing Kenya, nothing can come out under auspice of tribalism.

Nionyeshe wapi kwenye ripoti inasema tumekopa kwa ajili ya Elimu
I talk of general aside the heading since November Uhuruto have taken Eurobonds of over US$2.5bln aside having largest budget deficit in the region. No need to argue about being supported via expensive lowns. Unsustainable trend u should feel ashamed of!

Kenya does not need specialists more than public health officers and clinical officers. The highest cause of death is common communicable diseases like malaria, chorela and early childhood diseases. Main factor being poor sanitation, malnutrition and lack of vaccination.
What will 2 cuban doctors per county do to when already more than 3 doctors with different specialisation are in all counties? What is this unique specialisation that kenyan doctors cannot be trained in and thereby save the close to 600k per cuban doctor? is our education that we spend billions on useless? or do we suddenly have a dire need for stem cell research?
Anyang nyongo has nothing to do with this corrupt scheme to disenfranchise 1000 kenyan docs from employment, he went to cuba for benchmarking for his county gvt..He will not be involved in any implimentation apart from facilitating the 2 cuban doctors for their stay in ksm.

BTW I don't find Kenya with little oil in Lokichar to be different from Mozambique that went into taking loans spree when gas was discovered only to fail to service them when they matured the only difference is Kenya takes another loan to service an older loan that has matured.

I did talk about the Cuban health system equivalent bieng attempted here. In cuba the health system works in suchba way that the health officer at the clinic is linked to the nurse at the dispensary who is linked to the doctor at the district. .. so any outbrake is handled and cordinated quickly ... thats why they have ccontrolled communicable deasease deaths... that will be one of the jobs they will be resposible to set up a cordinating center at the county level.

And then, on the specialist side... You are thinking like a layman... When in government, if you serve at a certain level, you're thinking will change. While you are only thinking of how its a wasted by the govt taxpayers money to spend 600k per cuban specialist doctor, Someone in a government office has the statistics of the amount of million of dollars spent on ticket fare, acormodation, hospital bills that are paid by thousands if not millions of Kenyans who travel to India, Brazil, SA for expensive medical treatments and pay e.g a gross of 8 million ksh for a kidney or liver transplant from his own sibling, when those thousands of people could potentially pay like 70, 000 ksh to do it at there county level 5 hospital and use the rest of the money to do productive things...

E.g Here is a small math someone in government may be faced with

Pay 600k a month for 100 cuban doctors and treate 80% of specialist sugeries locally While mentoring Kenyan doctors to take over: that will mean losing 600, 000 ksh per month * 100 * 12 months = Ksh 720 million in foreign exchange every year

But if only 1, 000 kenyan patients were to travel abroad for specialist treatment and spend overal of about ksh 8million for the period of their treatment, that translates to Ksh 8 billion leaving the country every year.... mind you the real number of those travelling abroad for treatment are more than 10k ...
So if you were sitting in a govenemt office and asked to come up with a solution that solves the problem of Kenyans seeking treatment abroad... what would you come up with?

I am sure you have very little knowledge on running government and health system at large. When Magufuli became a president he instructed his ministry of heathy not to send patients to India and other countries and gave them deadline for that, but he invested heavily on specialised Hospitals in the Tanzania, and to lead by example, when his wife became sick was taken to Muhimbili public Hospital were she spent two nights.

As we speak by now nearly all cardiac patients are treated in Tanzania, more than 95% of cancer patients are treated in the country and now kidney transplant is done in the country at least five patients per month. All these have been achieved within less than 3 years of his leadership without asking Cubans or Chinese to come and teach us. Now Tanzania receives patients from many countries including Kenya for heart and cancer treatments.

Many problems that face our countries are within our capacity only few need outside support, what we do lack are visionary leaders and political commitment. Don't you ask yourselves, Tanzania with small budget bu is doing great things like SGR, free primary and secondary education, building bigger hydroelectric dam for $2B, and building modern Hospitals which not only treat Tanzanians, but other citizens from neighbouring countries as well from its own money, while Kenya with bigger budget but every small project it needs loans.

If the aim is to copy/mirror the cuban health system, You dont require cuban medical doctors to do that. You only need policy experts, legislation and money to impliment. What does a cuban surgeon know about economic and administative issues like public health policy? This is Jubilee mediocrity.
About specialist medical care, this is about 1% of all health problems that contribute to declined productivity in kenyan workforce. Importing doctors is not a sustainable way of solving this very small problem, Building internal capicity is the way to go. Policy interventions to encourage better lifestyle choices is even more effective than importing specialists, Again..Jubilee mediocrity.
UHC cannot be achieved by the tenderprenureship method they are trying to do. Its possible within Just 3 years to train 1000 specialists with Just ksh 1bn that the cuban government will possibly rake in with its 100 cuban doctors

Argue with facts and figures. Not political statements...

Like if I post a statistical survey that shows poor kids from Kenya are smarter than rich kids from Tz, your argument looks more like a dream than reality

So what have you been able to achieve here with your only 3.5% of you GDP going to education

Unfortunately your IQ is very low to participate in high voltage discussion like this, you end up with childish points out of the point. What you have been talking is about idea of your country to invite doctors from Cuba to cut down costs incurred by many Kenya going abroad searching for specialized treatment, I have given you what Magufuli has done so far to tackle that problem without going to any other country asking for assistance, instead of asking if what I am telling you is true and if is true how Tanzania has achieved this, you are shifting the discussion to education, are you mentally smart?

If Tz employs its own doctors to do specialist work while spending a mere 3.5% of its GDP, then it means that their education is more effective. Even if you look at other sectors, if they are using their own engineers to construct SGR While kenya employs chinese, then it simply means kenya is not frugal in how it spends money in education. More money does not mean better education.
And on the same note, a chart showing passing rate of students should be taken with a pinch of salt considering the many years of exam cheating that prevailed in kenya

People who are always claiming to be smart almost always end up the most ignorant critical thinkers who cant grasp anything...

Didnt you talk about having free primary and secondary education in your comment despite smaller budget? I have just shown you that the quality of education is way low compared to Kenya... so on that point, case closed.

The next point about the health system, first of all, health is connected to education, doctors learn in Universities, so poor education is directly propotional to Poor health system... and in that case, dont give me theoreticle explanation of how your health sectore is better, give evidence! Not facts pulled from thin air, give evidence of the number of liver transplant, cancer patients, kidney transplants handled in Tz .... give evidence that Tz general healthcare is better than Kenya.. like the way I have just done with education. if you cant do your arguments in that manner, then go learn how to base your arguments in facts and evidence and not just 'what you think'

Cochlear in plant surgery is one among very complicated and expensive medical procedure which now day is done at Muhimbili Government Hospital, there is nor single Government Hospital in Kenya has tried to do it, only Karen has done about 3 of them only, here in Tanzania is done nearly everyday. Please you can get all these fact on internet

Jakaya Kikwete heart Institute per year is operating about 800 patients from within and outside the country, making it the biggest and ultramodern cardiac centre in east and central Africa, your fellow Kenyans are flocking there my brother, just make google your friend will tell all these, Kenyan Hospitals are grade two if you compare with Tanzanian.
