Health Care - 44,000 Americans Die!

Yes that number is correct, and most of those that die are children that get no medical care in this nation, every year: Because the nation values making war upon strangers over taking care of the most basic needs of American citizens. The numbers claim that this is from the lack of Health-Insurance; but that's a lie-they die because there is no CARE being provided whether people are insured or not.
The 44,000 dead a year estimate is about two-and-a-half times higher than an estimate from the Institute of Medicine in 2002."More than 44,000 Americans die every year - 122 every day - due to lack of health insurance. That's the startling finding of a new study - Health Insurance and Mortality in U.S. Adults –- that appears in the current issue of the American Journal of Public Health.
The Harvard-based researchers found that uninsured, working-age Americans have a 40 percent higher risk of death than their privately insured counterparts, up from a 25 percent excess death rate found in 1993.
"The uninsured have a higher risk of death when compared to the privately insured, even after taking into account socioeconomics, health behaviors and baseline health," said lead author Dr. Andrew Wilper. "We doctors have many new ways to prevent deaths from hypertension, diabetes and heart disease - but only if patients can get into our offices and afford their medications."
"Historically, every other developed nation has achieved universal health care through some form of nonprofit national health insurance," said study co-author Dr. Steffie Woolhandler, a professor of medicine at Harvard and a primary care physician in Cambridge, Massachusetts. "Our failure to do so means that all Americans pay higher health care costs, and 45,000 pay with their lives." (1)
As a people we have disregarded history, so we repeat the same mistakes over and over and over again: to the point that we are now back to that place in time when vast numbers of Americans are now little more than sharecroppers, working for the next-generation of faceless-foreign owners that have stolen our lives. This is not ancient history; in fact as recently as 1965 Lady-bird Johnson, wife of the then president owned sharecroppers at the same time as LBJ was proposing his hypocritically malevolent "War-on-Poverty." This was the LBJ that was proud of getting into politics by using dead voters from the local cemetaries. (2)
Just a few years further on, from this obscenity; wages for those that created the wealth in this country peaked, and have been going backwards ever since; yet nothing has been done to even speak about this crime against everyone that works. It has now become "normal" for the corporations to actually own the lives of those that ‘work for them.' Employees are paid for only for a tiny fraction of the time they actually spend on the corporation's behalf; and are told by way of compensation: "The good news is that you ‘still have a job!"
Yet ‘the rules' continue to change. People's personal habits have become an unpaid part of every job. For employers; the privacy, the time-off, the dress-codes, and hours to be worked have nothing to do with what an employee wants; IF that employee wants to keep his or her token job. Productivity of the wage-slaves must always rise, while wages remain stagnant or are cut to reduce the cost of labor, while fattening up the retirement, the bonuses and the pure profits for the owners...
