Africa history made (Marejeo)

The Buffalo Soldiers were African American troops who served on the Western frontier after the Civil War. But their legacy is complicated.

The Buffalo Soldiers were tasked with controlling the Native Americans of the Plains, capturing cattle rustlers and thieves, and protecting settlers. Despite enduring severe racism, they became legendary for fighting courageously — and for expanding America westward.

February 12, 1865: Henry Garnet delivered a sermon in the U.S. House of Representatives, "The first colored man who has on any occasion spoken in our National Capital", on the occasion of Congress's passage on January 31 of the Thirteenth Amendment, ending slavery.

Henry Highland Garnet was an African-American abolitionist, minister, educator and orator. Having escaped with his family as a child from slavery in Maryland, he grew up in New York City.

He was educated at the African Free School and other institutions, and became an advocate of militant abolitionism.

Garnet became a minister and based his drive for abolitionism in religion.

Amanirenas was the Candice or Kandake queen of the Kingdom of Kush from c. 40 BC to c. 10 BC. Amanirenas is one of the most famous kandakes because of her role in leading Kushite armies against the Romans in a war that lasted five years, from 27 BC to 22 BC. After an initial victory when the Kushites attacked Roman Egypt, they were driven out of Egypt. Amanirenas was described as brave and blind in one eye. It is said Amanirenas took the head of Augustus and hid it under her palace; a final battle never took place; instead, an audience gathered on the island of Samos, where she then sent her ambassadors with a bundle of golden arrows sent a message to their monarch. "Queen Amanirenas sends you these arrows; if you want peace, they're a token of her friendship and warmth; if you want war keep the arrows, for you're going to need them."

They have tried every trick to establish their relationship to the ancient people of Egypt without success. The fact remains the same, these people were closely related to Black African people.

And where to they send these people to? Those uncouth and vagabonds from England think that they belong to Australia. Historical facts show how they mistreated the Aborigines , killed many of them and separated children from their parents in a bid to assimilate them into their culture. This also happened in Canada where the same racist methods were used to annihilate the Red Indians population. What a shame!

They did this to Tesla, a famous son of Serbia. An inventor of various items including AC as opposed to DC and many other inventions. All his important documents went missing immediately after his death.

French colonial officers from Ivory Coast with their Ghanaian wives and children in Ghana in 1915.

During the colonial times in Africa, marriages between colonial officers and African women were not based on romance. Colonial powers created a new generation of Africans who had many benefits than full blooded Africans. They had opportunities such as free education in Europe. Then they returned to Africa and got administrative positions. Also, they had sympathy for their European fathers. The main reason was to serve the colonial powers and ease their presence.

The moment when you realize the children of Alkebulan/Africa are really one people divided by our invaders and colonizers religious and miseducational systems which were reinforced by their colonistic boarders as they carved up Alkebulan/Africa for themselves as they stole our land people and natural resources which built the very foundations of their societies is priceless. But they didn't realize our ancestors' dna was so strong and powerful that we would eventually overcome their evil deeds and reunite and rebuild our ancient societies and kingdoms and be restored to greatness as the ancient ones predicted...Ase'

The Kalenjin people of East Africa speak of a migration from Ancient Egypt [emoji1093] in their oral history. They were a military clan in Ancient Egypt. They traditionally worshipped ancient Egyptian deities like the goddess Asiis(Isis), Ptah among other Egyptian gods. Most of the names of pharaohs especially those of 1st,3rd, 11th,12th, 18th, 21st and 22nd Dynasties have names with Kalenjin meaning. The Nilotic migration happened about the same time as the Bantu migration

THE ARAB SLAVE TRADE.

The 25th March was, as usual, commemorated as the day Britain officially abolished its Slave Trade in 1807. But how many recall that Arab slavers were the FIRST, and LAST, in modern times to ship millions of Africans out of the continent as slaves? And that Arab slavers preferred more African women to men?
Between 1600 and 1800 alone, 1.4 million Africans were shipped out by the Arabs.

The 19th century represented the highest point of the Arabian trade where 12,000 Africans were shipped out every year. The total figure for the 19th century alone was 1.2 million slaves to Arabia. One Sad thing about the Arab's trade is that most of the slave have not regained freedom unlike those in Europe or America as most of them disappear mysteriously (by k.illing or other means). That's why you can't see many Blacks in the A.rab world as they are in the E.urope or A.merica.

During World War II, Job Maseko, a South African war hero, sunk an enemy ship with an improvised bomb hidden in a milk container.

Maseko, a member of the South African Native Military Corps (NMC), was awarded the Military Medal for his “meritorious and courageous” action, which he described as demonstrating “ingenuity, resolve, and full disregard for personal safety.” But he was blocked from receiving the Victoria Cross (VC), the highest honour because he was BLACK.

About 80,000 black South Africans served in the Native Military Corps (NMC). After the war, they were given bicycles and boots, and sometimes a suit, as a reward. White soldiers received housing and land.

Members of the NMC were not issued firearms, but could carry traditional weapons, and served as non-combatants, working as labourers, guards or in a medical role.Maseko, himself, was a stretcher bearer for the allied forces in North Africa, where he rescued wounded men often under heavy fire.

Job Maseko became a prisoner of war in June 1942 when his commander surrendered to the Germans in Tobruk. There he was put to work on the docks unloading supplies.

Using knowledge that he had picked up working in gold mines in South Africa, on 21 July Maseko filled a small tin with gunpowder and placed it near some petrol drums in the hold of a ship which sank after the explosion, according to the official citation that went with his Military Medal.

He "displayed ingenuity, determination and complete disregard of personal safety from punishment by the enemy or from the ensuing explosion which set the vessel alight".

We salute you Job Maseko 🪖 [emoji954]

“Pharaonic Warriors...” ~ Nubians (Kushites/Sudanese) were the first civilization to construct pyramids, as universities, Royal homes and temples.

A civilization of innate glory, they were renowned for their wealth and prowess as hunters, fighters, educators and skilled artisans in iron, copper, gold and pottery.
They traded extensively with the Far East and Middle Eastern empires and educated the Greeks in astrology, medicine and science.

The Kushite central power of Meroe actually served as an influential pivot for trade and education across Africa, and the world.
Prior to demise, caused by a constant stream of European and Assyrian attack (as well as their well known culture of tomb-raiding and grave robbing), the original Pharaohs of the African continent, residing across the Horn, were referred to by a number of Greek philosophers as “the Godly leaders of a Black paradise”.

Black Wall Street USA Historical Legend:

George Washington Carver

George Washington Carver (by January 1864 – January 5, 1943), was an American scientist, botanist, educator, and inventor. The exact day and year of his birth are unknown; he is believed to have been born into slavery in Missouri in January 1864.

Carver's reputation is based on his research into and promotion of alternative crops to cotton, such as peanuts, soybeans and sweet potatoes, which also aided nutrition for farm families. He wanted poor farmers to grow alternative crops both as a source of their own food and as a source of other products to improve their quality of life.

The most popular of his 44 practical bulletins for farmers contained 105 food recipes using peanuts. He also developed and promoted about 100 products made from peanuts that were useful for the house and farm, including cosmetics, dyes, paints, plastics, gasoline, and nitroglycerin.

He received numerous honors for his work, including the Spingarn Medal of the NAACP.

During the Reconstruction-era South, monoculture of cotton depleted the soil in many areas. In the early 20th century, the boll weevil destroyed much of the cotton crop, and planters and farm workers suffered. Carver's work on peanuts was intended to provide an alternative crop.

He was recognized for his many achievements and talents. In 1941, Time magazine dubbed Carver a "Black Leonardo".
