Africa is one of the best continents of the world with enormous natural endowment and geographical stability. In Africa, everything is set by the maker of the universe. Africa has everything possible to be first developed continent of the world. When I said African, I'm not just speaking about Egypt alone rather all African countries are included. There's no African countries that doesn't have minerals to survive their economy, education, road network, hospital, and even politics. One can hardly have a record of natural disasters in Africa. The major disasters in Africa is leadership and power.

Leadership in Africa is a disgrace, disaster and abusive. The people in the corridor of power in Africa lack the essential leadership qualities. They're egocentric and are filled with uncreative thoughts of exploration. After the departure of the colonial masters, African leaders have failed to recognize themselves nor their God-given potentials in Africa. They don't even want to make proper use of these natural endowment for the benefits of all rather they continue to explore what the white men explore prior to their departure. The question is, what's is wrong with Africans? Is it that they can't lead themselves or they're are led by wrong people? Many African countries lack adequate hospitals, schools, road network, and economic development.

Certainly, Africans have capable people to lead them but dubious and corrupt African politicians have crippled the capable people with their dubious wealth and riches. Africans have failed to understand that one can be rich but doesn't have leadership skills. Riches don't make a leader. Leadership ought to be based on capacity to serve and not to be served. African leadership is twisted thus those who are capable with ideas lack power whereas those with power lack capability and ideas. In Africa, we've an army of lions led by a sheep whereas what Africans need is an army of sheep led by a lion. Africans have chameleons as leaders. Those who promise what they won't achieve even in the next decade. Leaders in Africa have no conscience and are not goal driven. They lack will power and only think of themselves. They see their subjects as mere slaves even when the colonial masters have left Africa.

The major problem with African leadership is African mindsets. African leaders are basking in mental slavery to the point that they don't know their identity. Leaders in Africa lack the vibes to lead hence, they're familiar with what used to be. They lack the capacity to explore more than expected. The resources in Africa show that no African countries ought to be poor. Today, many African countries are poor just because of mismanagement of leadership structures. Many African countries are blessed with diamonds, golds, coco, tobacco, palm trees, crude oil, coal, platinum, uranium, zinc, aluminum and so on but it's a thing of pity that one out of all these resources is explored and every now and then the leaders keep looting from that single discovered resources.

Africa can be better when there's a change in leadership. There's need for reversal of values. There's a misappropriation of values in Africa. Often times I ask: What happens to African egalitarian spirit? What happens to African socialization and communalization? What happens to African brotherhood? The way out is to have reversal of values. People with values are meant to add values in people through leadership. Arguably, the people with ideas and capacities should be enthroned as leaders whereas the people with power but no ideas should be dethroned. When this happens, the poorest people in Africa would be millionaires because the revenue from these natural resources would be sufficient enough to make everyone a millionaire. Let's raise Africa to where it belongs; Africa can be great beyond what it is now.
