You can balance.. if you don't mind rain fade.
 
Can a Ku lnb for prime focus be used on offset or can it be modified to put conical scaler ring for Ku lnb
 
Starsat sr 2200hd extreme got struck by LIGHTNING, and now it is OFF for good.
But, is there anything possible to do to revive it??

Huge offsets behave almost as pfs... due to a phenomenon called "spherical aberration"

that's why you'll find their ku band lnbs fitted with a conical scalar ring-like part...

So a pf ku lnb (which comes with a large scalar ring infront) will work just fine on a large offset...

At the beginning of this thread kungu1 modified an ordinary ku for offset lnb with a scalar ring to improve performance on a 240cm offset.
 
Which are the best Ku lnb for Nilesat and Amos 3/7 apart from inverto for 120cm offset
