A satellite may have no [downlink] footprints in Africa yet it can receive signals uplinked to it from Africa and relay it or downlink it to China.

they can use global beams on any C band satellite that covers Europe and Africa,then rebroadcast it again to Ku band to astra 19e from networks, multiple satellites and feeds channels are involved, however a bigger uplink dish size on the ground can send signal to astra 19e because more power is on the ground station compared to power available on satellites,there are companies responsible for broadcast of network channels and having offices and broadcast station around the globe example Arqiva and GlobecastAm just wondering how a TV Channel manages to send its signals to places where its out of those Satellites` Footprints...
