Solved this by downgrading from the software released in July 2023 (mediastar mini2727 )to the May 2023 version.It seems like this latest version is glitchy.

I connected the box to my local wifi and connected to their servers and just downloaded an earlier version from the list given then let it install- hence did not use usb.Therefore mine did not ask for a password.Are you able to connect to their servers?Or the ms4040 is different?Coming to that, I have also downgraded software for MS 4040, and just at the end it demanded to input PASSWORD PIN.
I thought the 0000 will do but failed. Is there other password to reset the decoder..???
