How does one tune Rockdale receivers to get fta channels. What I get are only startimes scrambled channels. Am in Eldoret.
Lagat my friend, sorry 4 late reply. the shop is StarLight Technologies along Luthuli, otherwise the thing is wonderful opening hd channels, n just some few minutes, l was reading online newspapers using my phone via usb cable as modem! but now in 10e enjoying the kenyan mux! Will U Then Say Its Fake?
I think it is possible coz i installed a 90cm for a friend in Kerugoya and i nabbed CNN using Fuji lnb.
First, make sure your antenna is pointed to the right transmitter. Signet (FTA) and Startimes transmitters are not always located in the same site / direction. Signet transmitters are usually located at the site of old KBC analog transmitters countrywide. Set your antenna height and direction to receive the analog KBC optimally. If you are still receiving a weak KBC analog signal, consider buying and installing a "Powered UHF Antenna" such as the imported mesh-type "JETA" brand. Remember that a fake/imitation of JETA is also available on the market. Next, plug in the antenna into the Rockdale decoder and conduct an Auto-search. If you still cannot lock on the Signet digital signal, most likely the digital transmission is not yet available at your location. Try also pointing the antenna towards Webuye / Timboroa direction. Cheers.
That's cool man. What's the tracking frequency and dish size to nab 10°E.
Hi FTA Gurus
I wish to inform members that i succeeded in getting CNN in Nyeri (Kenya) using a 90CM dish though it wasn't very easy. Now what about Kericho using the same Dish size (90 CM)? How easy is it?
Ooh! you only need 2 use 3735R 7018 using as small as 65cm dish.
that frequency looks like its for c-band. how comes u receive it with 65 cm?.
Hooodiiiiii????
Am happy to belong back to the sat family! The digital migration in Kenya is taking too much time, why not just get over with it!
The satellites in the sky are multiplying by the day. The Western hemisphere is now being switched on. A part from the now famous Nilesat, there seems to be 9 more birds on that side of the sphere.
Will be back!

@ regiment jey, I believe he is saying that it has a strong signal and you can receive it with the smallest c-band or you can turn your 65cm to c-band using the ring scalar holder.
I have tried but i have been unable even getting BBC is a problem, it cracks alot, maybe its because of my location and the lnb. I use a fuji lnb 0.1db and i am located further down in Litein. Hope you are lucky so u can share the trick
sorry gentlemen, its c band freq. u know by then l was setting my 65 cm ku dish n l was enjoying a wonderful reception of certain channels on a certain sat using 65cm dish. now @62e watching citizen, NTV and QTVjobics
