The Skybox decoder must be a not so good receiver. Mine died when I was connecting the LNB while it was on.

Hi, had the same problem with a skybox it just stopped working after I connected the LNB. Visited this site downloaded the new firmware at that time and the Skybox tools (erom upgrade). http://www.yojiatech.com/index . Later I came to learn that the bootloader was the problem. Hope the info will be of help.
 
All the Aljazeera Sports HD3 to HD6 begin transmision of picturers for the start of the new EPL season!
 

I gave up on it. Am thinking I go HD with SRT 4922.
 
upgrade your SRT 4922 with new s/w 1.30p. works well with cs.

Hi guys, my astrovox 9155 HD. have been rendered useless by electricity, I need 2 purchase another one.specs, HD, supports cs, Ethernet and other capabilities. Need your advice guys?

The reconfiguration of the HOT BIRD constellation will release the Hot Bird 13A satellite which will be deployed to 7/8° West. Renamed EUTELSAT 8 West C, it will enable Eutelsat to switch on additional transponders at the key neighbourhood for satellite television in North Africa and the Middle East. The 7/8 degrees West arc, already hosting Eutelsat and Nilesat satellites, broadcasts over 1,000 channels to more than 30 million homes and represents one of the fastest growing neighbourhoods for digital services. This orbital position will get a further boost in the second half of 2015 with the launch of Eutelsat 8 West B.

ARAB ‘PIRATE' TV STATIONS TAKEN OFF AIR
Egyptian satellite operator Nilesat has removed two Arab TV stations that allegedly broadcast pirated content.
Panorama Comedy and Panorama Action are no longer broadcasting via the Nilesat satellite, according to a report by Al Arabya. Three Arab broadcasters, the MBC Group, OSN and Rotana have asked the operator to take measure against broadcasters who do not pay licence fees for programmes they broadcast. Sam Barnett, CEO of MBC Group (who also owns Al Arabya), said that many of the pirate satellite-TV channels operating in the region are broadcasting movies without proper license from the legitimate right holders. He claims that that around 15 satellite channels broadcast in the Arab world are illegally broadcasting Hollywood and Arabic movies.

Don't give up yet, have you tried what I suggested? Follow this. Download the RS232 upgrade tool and the latest
firmware from
http://www.yojiatech.com/index.html Use the
upgrade tool and follow this
simple steps. How to flash the EROM using
RS232 cable (when you mess up
your box)
1. Connect the RS232 cable
between Skybox F3 and your
computer.
2. Plug the power cable of the
Skybox F3, but don't need to
turn on the switch at the back
of the unit.
3. Start EromUpgrade.exe.
4. Select connection port,
normally it should be COM1.
5. Choose "Upgrade" as Operate
Mode.
6. Click the "Browse" button and
select the Skybox F3 firmware.
7. Check the "Include
Bootloader" box.
8. Click "Next".
9. When the screen show
"Synchronizing STBS ...", turn
on the switch at the back.
10. When the screen show
"Done", press the power button
(at the front) once.
11. Wait until the firmware
uploading process finish, click
"Next".
12. Wait until the firmware
flashing process finish, click
"Finish".
GOOD LUCK
 
Feel of analague switch off being felt around kampala.
Since yesterday, most locally based channels are off and shall be back on monday to allow ucc install digital transmitter for ubc.
 
Does this work when the the skybox is completely dead?..my F3's power supply is OK, however there is no display on the front.

MGM Portugal HAS continued to entertan masses with English movies since 2008 when I first discovered it...it is still there but with additional channels like AFRO MUSIC and KIDSCO all free on TP : 11665 V 5642

zuku had promised the local channels wont be scrambled. that they will remain fta.well yesterday scrambled them.
