Sokwe is a Swahili word which means an ape, chimpanzee or gorilla. To be called a sokwe especially by a White man is a symbol of racism to an African and much attention is paid to such an act. We have witnessed African soccer players being harassed psychologically by being called apes in European leagues. There is no any other clear reason to as why are Africans and Negros termed Sokwes but most people believe that an African facial appearance resembles with a sokwe to a higher degree as compared to any other race.
In this article I am going to be less concerned with God’s creation that is facial and phenotypic appearance of an African though I still agree and believe that an African is not only a sokwe but a typical SOKWE (Slave of Knowledge without Essence). If you meet an Indian or Chinese for example let say in Europe or America and try to observe his daily life you will come to realize that they still have their culture wherever they go. This is far different from an African, In fact when an African is rich he educates his kids in European schools, consume Chinese products, go for vacation in Dubai, go for pilgrimage in Mecca or Jerusalem and not in Ethiopia, when sick he goes to India or to his colonial master for treatment and not for African herbs but unfortunately when he dies we burry him in Zimbabwe. No wonder why they call Africa a grave yard.
African SOKWE has been a reason for African underdevelopment socially, politically and economical. We are still not able to tell our stories and allowed our oppressors to do it on our behalf. Today if you want to know what is going in Africa we tune to CNN, BBC, DW, VOA, RFI or Aljazeera. African does not own her true history, it is still operating on the history narrated to her by its colonialist, and all of our history relies on Eurocentric views and not Afrocentric. We accepted everything told to us by our oppressors to be true and denied everything concerning us. My goodness!!!!! They taught us to pray in their views and when we opened our eyes we had their books in our hand and they had our lands. What a tragedy spending millions of money and precious time enslaving our generations with fake, false, exploitative and discriminative doctrines.
My brother African SOKWE, I am not against a white man civilization, philosophy or technology, I am against the fear they impacted into you to divide and rule you, I am against the freedom you denied and mental slavery you embraced which is draining the potential of our generations. They banned your norms and customs telling you that they are evil and demonic, Your church has told you not to pray and communicate to the dead spirits of your ancestors but wanted you to pray and communicate to what they call Saints from Italy or somewhere in Europe and when I raise my voice to tell you to free yourselves from these forms of slavery you stone me. It is very difficult to free ourselves if the god we believe is the god of our oppressors and not The Most High God, God of all creation, God of all races, True God nothing hidden from him. That is the God we need in Africa the God that says that you can as well be part of the security council in the United Nations, you can as well be leaders of the world. The God that lets us hear good things about Black for most time we hear about black we hear about black magic, black book, black list, black Friday and black market. I never saw a nurse in black treating black people but I have seen a witch doctor in black resurrecting like a real black eater. Come on African Sokwe, Black is beautiful.
It is the time for an African, Black man, Genuine melanin and mother of civilization to embrace her own culture, produce on her own standard, believe on her prophets and believe that we are the children of the Most high God, gates of Zion beloved than the dwellings of Jacob by the Most High God.
Let we reform our unity and feed ourselves from our roots by remembering that people without their true History is like a tree without roots. Be keen on the vaccines, medicines and financial aids he offers for free because cheap is expensive and who feeds you controls you.
