For those who were bragging that Nairobi- Dar es Saalam route is the backbone of Kenya airways I hope from today you are going to swallow your words. Here is a list of the top five international routes in Africa and Nairobi has appeared twice the same with Jo'bug. This shows that Nairobi and Jo'bug are the main players that controls the air business in Africa.
1. Mauritius _ Reunion
2. Harare - Jo'bug
3. Entebbe - Nairobi
4. Addis Ababa - Nairobi
5. Gaborone -Jo'bug

Nairobi- Dar es Saalam route is the backbone of Kenya airways
One factor for Kenya Airways choosing to reduce its frequency on the route from around nine to 10 daily flights is due to the increased competition on the sector, particularly with the arrival of LCC Jambojet, a subsidiary of Kenya Airways, with it offering up to six daily flights. Along with Mombasa, the domestic link to Kisumu (fifth largest route) has also seen a capacity drop, along with Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (all highlighted in red). By then KQ 's loss would surely have doubled! Considering the fact Ugandans hate KQ for ripping them for years!

Huo wingi unaangalia idadi ya ndege zinazokwenda njia hiyo; au idadi ya abiria katika njia hiyo? Kwa vigezo vyote viwili Addis Ababa imekuja juu sana hata kupiku J'Burg kama kiunganisho cha kwenda mahali kwingine zaidi ya mji wenyewe ambao unatumika kama 'stopover' tu.

Facts be damned. Don’t expect a danganyikan to be convinced by the actual numbers. Kenya stands to benefit greatly from trade with northern neighbors and not the rabid laggards from the south.
 

KQ is second( Among African Airlines) by carrying more passengers around Africa.
