The Premier made the call in Paris, France on Tuesday August 29, during talks with Mr Michael Perrin, a trade promotion Vice President for Piriou, a French-based shipbuilding company.
A statement circulated by Prime Minister’s Office in Dar es Salaam quoted Mr Majaliwa as saying that the French company had shown interests to invest in shipbuilding sub sector in the country.
“Tanzania is a good place for investment due to availability of abundant opportunities and friendly environment,” noted Mr Majaliwa.

“I am optimistic investing in Tanzania means a lot in line with profit making. I pledge to cooperate with the government and adhere to laws, rules and procedures,” said Mr Perrin.
He also commended the Tanzanian Ambassador in France, Mr Samwel Shelukindo, for his cooperation in matters related to investment opportunities in Tanzania.

MY TAKE
Won't be surprised if Piriou will be based in Tanga to tap the oil tankers business. The choice is theirs even if they choose to put their office in Mtwara. Our vision 2030 can happen anywhere..[emoji23] [emoji115]
