After visa fee waiver attempts with SA failed Kenya shifts focus to Tanzania

If the moody is something to go by, today's headlines at Kenyan main media houses suggest Kenya is surely on hungover and has not managed to recover from that snub by President Zuma to allow Nyang'aus enter South Africa without visa fee. But what shocks keen observers, is how that heavy administered dose by H.E. Zuma is turning out to expose the underlaying issue as far as Kenya's diplomacy and international relations are concerned.

It has to be remembered that just before President Zuma jetted in Nairobi, tribal cancuun cum inheritary President Uhuru via her Labour and EAC affairs Cabinet Secretary Ms Kandie was already heard lamenting on Tanzania's refusal to let Kenyans work in Tanzania without permits on argument that Tanzanians are exempted from working permit in Kenya.

On opportunistic attempt, that announcement was carefully made on calculated move to coincide with that State visit by President Zuma and probably on anticipation Zuma's visit will be a catalyst to force Tanzania into accepting that senseless idea. This is behind openly known fact Kenyan job market is nepotic and is not even free for Kenyans themselves with exception of Kikuyus and Kelanjins.

Unfortunately that diplomatic chase game attempt miserably backfired, leaving the media circle have nowhere to cling on and to a schock of every reader that was made to believe President Zuma was in Kenya to scout Kenyan tourists. And via intelligency sensing what was in bags for Kenya's attempts to try to ressurrect COW sort, Tanzania governmental officials were not present at this year's Magic Kenya tourism borse and just as expected the rhetorics of common visa were yet again brought up and this year a further step joint common marketing.

Surprisingly, Tanzania has never objected any of these initiatives by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, though abhors that envious neighbor's attitude that wishes to have what another member state has and purely not entitled to a claim.

Contary to sour grapes cum bad loser mentality demonstrated by Kenya earlier May in Kampala when Kenyan delegation led by none other than Uhuru flatly rejected regional decision to jointly construct an East African pipeline that is to traverse between Hoima and Tanga, and instead chose to go solo and build a pipeline between insignifact reserves in Lokichar and Lamu a non commercial viable project.

In opposite to that greedy mentality demonstrated by Uhuru and his cos in Kampala, Tanzania has every reason to protect her upward gains in tourism that have come out of her aggressive and never relenting hard working and does want to disturb the growth trend or in other words fruits of her purely self hard work through committing into a hastly decided joint marketing initiative or common east African toursim visa, that both of these do not clear state what will be the benefits or how will the revenues collected shared to her in comparison to what the country receives at the moment standing alone. Tanzania as a country fails to understand why her decision should not be respected? Can't the three EA members go ahead and do their marketing gimmicks without Tanzania?

Why throwing tandrums and accusations towards Tanzania at this particular time where the country is trying to resurrect her air travelling business after seeing the tour vans' ban effected at JKIA by this same Ms Kandie, just because Tanzania refused to open Bolongoja gate? What's wrong with this stupid attitude by Kenya? why can't Kenya start learning to stand on her own esp. now KIA expansion is nearly completion and Air Tanzania is on the brink to start continental routes early next year? Kenya better brace yourselves and star get prepared of what is hidden in the box and about to be revealed!

One day I flew into Kenya with Fast Jet. Our plane landed at a very distant gate where even taxis are hard to get. These kind of things do make Tanzanians be very careful when dealing with Kenya. Sometimes I wonder if our neighbors do think that we also do think as they do? I chose to return by a shuttle to Arusha, spent some nights and took a comfortable bus to Dar thereafter. I wanted to enjoy my freedom of choice. They should wait until we also become willing to join them.

MGILEADI, nyang'aus claws r being clipped n arrogance tamed by JPM! They r feeling the heat, the best to do would have been for TAA to reciprocate their unyang'au n direct all KQ flights to terminal I in Dar.
