A 33-year-old man has been sentenced to life imprisonment for defiling a two-year-old minor.
Samuel Thiong’o was also handed 94 years in jail for a second offence of raping a 94-year-old woman.
In his ruling, Kangema Senior Resident Magistrate Dennis Muigai Kivuti termed the accused as a serial rapist who should be kept away from the society.
Thiong’o committed the first offence on August 15 last year and the second offence on October 11, 2016 at Gacharage-ini village in Mathioya Constituency, Muranga County.
The magistrate said the sentence should serve as a deterrent to stop such incidents from happening again.
