Ajira: Junior software developer

Role Overview​

Gilgal Tech is seeking a passionate and talented Junior Software Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will specialize in Python and web development (or full-stack development). Candidates with a background in graphic design will have an added advantage.

Responsibilities​

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using Python.
• Build and optimize responsive and user-friendly websites.
• Collaborate with senior developers and team members on various projects.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Contribute to team discussions and provide creative solutions to problems.

Requirements​

• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong skills in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Knowledge of frameworks like Django, Flask, or similar is a plus.
• Logical problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL).
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Suite, Canva) is an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
