East African rapper, Keko has revealed she could throw in the towel at South African Music label Sony soon. The rapper who made history by becoming the first Ugandan to sign a multi- album and full management deal with Sony Music Entertainment Africa and ROCKSTAR4000 is fed up of the cash and music drought. Keko revealed her possible exit on Twitter. She expressed pain that she has not been able to make any good music from the time she joined the label back in 2012. “It has been three and a half years at this label and there are no gigs, no cheques, no publishing, enlighten me on that.

Keko landed an endorsement deal with Pepsi and also led Mountain Dew’s advertising campaign in Uganda, all whilst growing her fan base across the continent. She is one of the most respected female rappers on the continent. Her current label, Sony, has artistes such as Alicia Keys, P!nk, Usher, Christina Aguilera, Pitbull and Chris Brown.
