Their statement begins by saying that they not being funded by any government, and then it follows by a sentence "Through the US Embassy's Commercial and Economic Section, the AMCHAM-TZ also provides information, business and trade opportunities with the United States."
"AMCHAM - TZ is a non-political organization that does not support or endorse candidates of any political affiliation. AMCHAM-TZ does not receive funding from any government entity but raises funds through its membership network and sponsors. Our goal is to advocate for members on a range of key issues by providing a platform for members to achieve their business objectives through networking events, competitiveness seminars, round table discussions and guest presentations on business and current affairs from leading public and private sector partners.
