Mwanamke mwenye umri wa miaka 20 anadaiwa kumuua binti yake wa miezi miwili na kisha kujiua baada ya kudaiwa kupoteza Ksh.120,000 katika duka la M-Pesa alilokuwa akifanya kazi.
Aidha, Kwa mujibu wa Mjomba wake, Christopher Musyoka na mkewe Teresia Mbaki, wanaeleza kuwa siku ya tukio hilo walimuacha marehemu - Rose Joseph Kamba - katika nyumba yao ya kupanga wakaenda kanisani na waliporejea muda wa saa 2 usiku, walikuta mlango umefungwa kutoka ndani na waliposhindwa kufungua waliamua kuomba msaada wa Polisi.
Kufuatia taarifa hiyo, Polisi walifika eneo la tukio na kuvunja ndani ya nyumba hiyo yenye vyumba viwili na kukuta mwili wa Rose Joseph Kamba ukining'inia kwa kamba kutoka kwa paa la moja ya vyumba vya kulala.
Zaidi ya hayo, Kamanda wa Polisi wa Kaunti ndogo ya Mwingi Kamanda wa Polisi Mutuma alithibitisha kutokea kwa tukio hilo, na kueleza kuwa kuwa miili hiyo miwili imehamishiwa katika Mochwari ya Hospitali ya Mwingi Level IV.

A 20-year-old woman on Sunday killed her two months old daughter before committing suicide after allegedly losing Ksh.120,000 at an M-Pesa shop she was operating in Mwingi, Kitui County.
According to her uncle, Christopher Musyoka and his wife Teresia Mbaki, they left the deceased — Rose Joseph Kamba — in their rented house as they proceeded to church and on returning home at around 2pm, they found the door locked from the inside.
After unsuccessfully trying to gain entry into their house, they reported the matter at Mwingi Police Station for assistance.
The OCS accompanied by police officers arrived at the scene and broke into the two bed-roomed house and found the body of Rose Joseph Kamba dangling on a rope from the roof of one of the bedrooms.
On the adjacent bed in the same bedroom was the two months old baby lying dead, wrapped in a bed sheet with fresh blood oozing from her nose.
The woman had left a suicide note on the bed indicating that she killed herself after she was conned Ksh.120,000 at her uncle’s M-Pesa shop and after she explained to him, he thought that she had stolen the money.
The M-Pesa shop belonged to her uncle.
Mwingi Central Sub-county Police Commander Police Mutuma confirmed the incident, noting that the two bodies were moved to Mwingi Level IV Hospital mortuary.
