There are very few companies in the world that own big planes for lease. They are also the biggest Boeing and Airbus clients.
Aercap Holdings is one of them, with over 1000 planes leased out, and over 400 currently on order.

That's where KQ, American Airlines, British Airways, South African and other mature airlines lease their planes.
