The CORD Leader and former Prime Minister RailaOdinga, together with his fellow CORD principals and top coalition leadership, are then expected to fly into Mombasa to address a highly anticipated political rally at the historic Tononoka Grounds. The rally whose theme is expected to centre on the proposed national dialogue takes place on Sunday June 15th and already the Mombasa Governor AlihassanJoho is trending the hashtag ‪#‎BabaTukutaneMombasa‬.

The coastal town of Mombasa has been a beehive of activity in the last one week in preparation for giving the CORD leaders a what sources close to Mombasa governor termed a "visible reception".

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and Senator Hassan Omar are leading in mobilizing supporters from as far as Taita, Kilifi, Kwale, Lamu and Malindi to attend the rally in declaring support for an all-inclusive structured national conference, failure to which the region will join other Kenyans in Nairobi's Uhuru Park on July 7th at a rally dubbed #SabaSaba.

The Mombasa County Women representative Hon Mishi Mboko and MP Jomvu Badi Twalib were on Pwani FM this morning to discuss the upcoming CORD rally.

Coastal Counties of have bore the brunt of travel advisories by Western governments that has seen unprecedented evacuations and low bed occupancy, with more than 50 hotels, guest houses and beach apartments reportedly closed down, resulting to more 50,000 job losses in the last one month. The message of insecurity, extrajudicial killings and disappearance, as well as terrorism are expected to dominate discussion at the rally.

ODM leader is also expected to thank the voters of Shella Ward in Malindi who braved a high profile campaign led by Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko for Jubilee and Gideon Mungaro for CORD to vote overwhelmingly for the coalition. The April county assembly by-election was reduced to CORD affair with ODM's Adamson Mwathethe emerging the winner after garnering 2,236 votes ahead of WDM's Abdulkarim Twaher who got 1,967 votes, with Jubilee coaltion RCP's Abdalla Abbas trailing at 927 votes.

Residents of the former coast province are expected to attend the rally in their thousands and the venue has reportedly been booked and secured by a private firm hired by Governor Joho who is an unapologetic supporter of ODM Leader Raila Odinga.

Midahalo kama hii ni sumu kwa ccm,

Naomba mwenyeenzi Mungu kwamba, mambo ambayo hutokea Kenya
yasikawahi kufanyika TZ.

Yanayo fanwa na Raila Odinga ni ukora mtupu na
si mhadalo wa aina yeyote.

Lake ni kujaribu kuipindua serikali ya Kenya lakini
mara hii amenoa tena kama alivyo fanya mwaka
wa 1982 na 2007.:smiling::smiling:

Like son like father, Raila Odinga will try many and all the ways but one thing is clear,,,he is a big failure like his father and will remain like that forever.

He will never become anything in Kenya, if not, a fugitive in is own world.

We said it many times, but now everybody is watching and hearing Raila's satanic messages.

He is,,,, not even hiding it, this time

In 1982,he tried bringing down the government of president Moi but did not even go to anywhere other than into detention.

2007, tried mass actions but Kibaki handled him very well till he went for a shared government when he had sworn previously that he will only stop when inside state house.

This time, he comes with other wicked and comic ways of,,,eti national dialogue which is an open trap , that only blind people can't see,, but we remind him that we are not fools.

He has even gone ahead,he, mr Odinga, to declare the so called saba saba day, a national day:smile-big:.

Brothers, is this not a coup????

He is getting so much stressed up and frustrated because UhuRuto are not behaving like Kibaki and are not even noticing his useless threats.

Those useless advisers in America are misleading this poor Raila.

They know nothing of Kenya, why did they not come up with better ways of stopping UhuRuto from ascending to power.

Who told them that it was possible now, to bring them down??????

We are going to allow them conduct their useless meetings for they are not a threat to anybody, not even to themselves.

They do not have an army, even MRC's were stronger than them,,,but where is MRC's today????

Makaburini.

There is no ways president Kenyatta will ever do any negotiation with Raila Odinga.

If ever Uhuru ties it, we the Jubilee and the whole mt Kenya will disown and curse him.

It is we who elected him and not Raila Odinga nor those stupid and old cocaine sniffing advisers from America and UK.

If they try anything new we don't know, we are ready to tackle CORD and defend this country.

Mmmm, nikucheza tuu wanacheza, hebu wajaribu, tutawanyorosha vile tulivyo wanyorosha wakati wa uchanguzi.

Sasa, mnacheza na power, kwani tuko kwa pawa and nobody will tunya us, eiiiiish, kwani iko nini????

This time, i swear that it is a checkmate, for Raila and his evil thinking people.

As long as thet don't incite chaos they can talk all they want.

Eti wanamwita 'baba'......siasa za kenya bana!

Full vichekesho na drama.

WARNING: Cabinet Secretary Joseph Ole Lenku

Saturday, June 14, 2014 - 00:00 -- BY FELIX OLICK AND MANUEL ODENY

THE government has fired a warning salvo to the three Cord principals that they will be held responsible if chaos breakout in their planned countrywide rallies.

In a statement to newsrooms yesterday, Lenku said that the Government would only provide "minimal security" during the Cord rallies and would not divert the limited police services from "important state duties".

"The Government will hold the organizers personally liable if the rallies turn out chaotic leading to lose of lives and property," the Interior boss warned through his Director of Communications Mwenda Njoka.

"The leaders should make arrangements to ensure that the rallies remain peaceful,"

Cord leaders Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula are currently going round the county "listening" to people's views ahead of their grand Saba saba rally on July 7th in Nairobi. this weekend the team will be Mombasa's Tononoka grounds for yet another rally.

Speaking in Migori yesterday during yet another rally, a defiant Raila and his co-principal Moses Wetang'ula tore into the government accusing it of ineptitude, corruption and tribalism among others.

"The frist responsibility of any government is to provide security to her people and their property. Jubilee has failed," said Raila.

Early this week, President Uhuru Kenyatta postponed indefinitely the national dialogue saying the issue had been politicized. But his move appears to have re-energised the opposition which have lined up at least 13 political rallies that would climax with a mega meeting on Saba Saba Day on July 7 at Kamkunji Grounds in Nairobi.

Yesterday, Lenku appeared to be telling off the Cord leaders to hold their horses and wait for 2017 polls, citing Article 3 (2) of the Constitution.
The Article States: "Any attempt to establish a government otherwise than in compliance with this Constitution is unlawful,"

Before Raila's grand return from the US, Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo banned all political rallies before rescinding it in less than 24 hours after heavy criticism from Kenyans.

It was estimated that close to 10,000 cops were deployed across the city to ensure that Cord leaders had adequate security from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to Uhuru Park, where the team held the first rally.

Speaking in Migori town yesterday, cord leaders led by Raila Odinga and Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula said that Kenyans should not go to work on Saba Saba day but should come out across the country in mass action.

"We call on the Jubilee government to agree on dialogue before July 7 to offer the country a way forward to push us out of bad governance," Raila warned.

During the tour representatives of civil society, youths, women, people with disability, clergy, business people and professionals had a chance to address the crowd.

Unlike previous political rallies, representatives of various groups were yesterday given a chance to air their grievances before Cord leaders addressed them.

Addressing residents Raila said that their call for a national dialogue is vested in the constitution.

"The constitution gives Kenyans power to shape the destiny of their country and this power can be used to help steer the country to the right direction through a national dialogue," Raila said.

His sentiments was shared by Wetang'ula who said that they will only call off their national rallies and a Saba Saba demonstration against the government if only the government accepts to dialogue.

"We seek to know how the country can move together as one when others feel left out while they have their constitutional right to shape the country," Wetangula said.

The Coalition for Reforms and Democracy leader Raila Odinga has said he will continue with countrywide rallies without fear of being arrested.

While attending a church service at Neno Evangelism Church in Mombasa Sunday, the Former Prime Minister said he was representing the voices of Kenyans and that he would not be intimidated by the arrest calls.

“I have been arrested many times in this country, arresting me is not an issue, Ole Lenku you have been appointed to do your work, just do it and don’t politicise issues,” Mr Odinga said.

Quoting from the book of Isaiah 1, verse 18, the Cord leader defended his calls for national dialogue to address problems facing the country.

“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

He told the congregation: “The sovereignty of Kenya lies on the people of Kenya, They can exercise it directly or they can delegate it to other institutions. We are not coming to dialogue with you (government) for our gain but for the benefit of Kenyans.”

At the same time, Bungoma County Senator Moses Wetang'ula said the 'Baba Battalion' went to the port city listen to the residents and the issues they would like to be addressed during the national dialogue.

Senator Wetang'ula said they were ready to be apprehended in their quest for justice and well-being of Kenyans.

He said Cord’s dream is to liberate Kenyans from corruption, unemployment, high costs of living, poverty and increased insecurity among other ills.

“A dream can be frustrated, it can be delayed, but can never be killed or defeated. We want a Kenya where everyone has a right to be proud to be a Kenyan. As Cord, we want equal opportunity for all regardless of your tribe, ethnicity, colour, religion or race,” he said.

Neno Evangelism Mombasa Centre-Bishop Robert Wafula called on the leaders both in opposition and government to work together to ensure the security and safety of all Kenyans.

He said the rising incidences of insecurity are worrying especially in Mombasa County.

Mr Odinga was accompanied by Kisumu Senator Anyang Nyongo, Taita-Taveta Governor John Mruttu, Machakos Senator Jonhson Muthama, Siaya Senator James Orengo, Kakamega Senator Bonnie Khalwale and Mombasa County Deputy Governor Hazel Katana.
