Technically ni:-

Charging current = 25% x20Ah
= 5A

Full charged power = 12 V x 5A = 60W
Efficiency (accounting wire losses) = 60W/0.8 = 75W

Solar anywhere 70W mpaka 80W inapiga mzigo optimally kabisa.

A rule of thumb is:

Charging current ya any Lead acid is ideally asilimia 25 ya cavity yake

I. e 25% mara N ya betri.


For instance N20

Charging current (which is taken as max) = .25xN20=5A

Kwa maana nyingine unanunua charger yenye uwezo wa kutoa 5A.


Betri ina voltage tatu
1. Nominal (theoretical, here it is 12V)
2. Absorption charge (full charged battery 13.6V)
3. Bulk charge (when battery initially empty inapakua 14.4V mpaka ikifika 80% ndo ina absorb/equalize 13.6V in an attempt isi overcharge)


With the above terms, 13.6V ndiyo real battery voltage to be used in calculations (12V sio actual voltage ni marketing terms)


Power inayotakiwa kujaza betri la N20?
=13.6x5=68W

System haiwezi kufanya kazi Kwa 100% without losses.

Take it 85%

Kwahiyo solar panel =68/0.85=80W

Look anything >75W available on the shops near you.

Tafuta N 200 (1) au N 150 (2) kwasababu hizo pannel zako zina uwezo wa deliver 360W ambapo zina uwezo wa kuilisha Battery ya N 200 moja au N 150 mbili na N 100 tatu.
 
Ni kweli , vipi kama battery ikiwa ndogo yaan N 50 kwa panel 1 ya watts180, battery itakufa?
Kiufupi ni kwamba hiyo betri itajaa ndani ya muda mfupi lakini umefikiria ule muda ambao betri itakuwa imekaa tu huku kuna nishati unaipoteza bure!
Nimekumbuka kutumia charge control pia. Maana yake ni kwamba hiyo battery ina uwezo wa kusupply current ya 10A kwa masaa 5 au 5A kwa masaa 10.
 
Me nina panel ya watts 20 nitumie betri ya n ngapi? Na je nikitumia betri ya pikipiki au ya gari kuna madhara? Ni lazima solar betri?

Solar power generation inadepend na location, mostly latitude. The amount of power generated determine how much betri capacity is required to store that power!!

Average daily sun hours mtwara 6hrs
Average daily sun hours kagera 8hrs

Enwegy per day mtwara 6x180x2=2.16kWh

Energy per day kagera =8x180x2=2.88kWh

Battery capacity mtwara =2.16/12=N180 au 180Ah

Battery capacity kagera =2.88/12=N240 or 240Ah

That make sense?
