Beyoncé, Jay-z Change Names

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have never made a big spectacle of their marriage, but they are getting lots of attentiong now for their unusual name change! Both Beyonce AND Jay-Z are keeping Beyonce's maiden name in their full name, as Beyonce Knowles becomes Beyonce Knowles Carter, and Jay-Z AKA Shawn Carter becomes Shawn Knowles Carter.

Jay-Z is making the admirable move so he can help keep the Knowles family name alive, as their family has no sons to carry it on. And now that Beyonce's parents have split, it looks like the family name has no chance to continue, if it wasn't for Sean Carter adopting it. Quite a liberated and forward thinking gesture from the superstar rapper! I'm impressed. I bet this is one marriage that is made to last, for sure. As long as Jay never hangs out with Tiger Woods.
