Prediactably irrational the hidden forces that shape our decision. Kitabu kimeandikwa na Dan ariely ambaye ni professor wa saikolojia huko MIT.

Kitabu kimechapishwa mwaka 2008 na kinapage 150 (japo nasikia kuna extended version). Mwandishi katika kitabu hiki anajaribu kutuonyesha kwamba watu wengi huwa wanafikiri wanafanya uamuzi kwa kutumia akili zao pekee na huaamini sana mawazo yao lakini kiukweli sivyo.

Anavyosema irrational anamaanisha kwamba watu hatuko rational katika kufanya maamuzi yetu tofauti na tonavyojifikiria. Pia anavyosema predictably anamaanisha kwamba hiyo irrationality yetu huwa inajirudia rudia kiasi mtu unaweza ukapredict kwamba mtu /watu wataenda kufanya maamuzi Fulani.

Jamaa ameandika kitabu chake katika njia rahisi sana. Amaeandika kwa mtindo wa maswali na ameyajibu kwa kutumia mifano hai na researches.

Kwa hiyo mtu unaweza ukachagua swali lolote na ukaanza kulisoma yaani unaweza kuanza chapter yoyote. Hebu tuone baadhi ya maswali (nimechagua niliyoyapenda zaidi).

1.the cost of zero cost (why do we pay too much when we pay nothing?).
Hapa aliniikumbusha msemao usemao the service that cost nothing worth it. Umewahi ona unanunua kitu kwa sababu kina ofa ya bure.

Unaweza kuta unaambiwa nunua vitu viwili upate kimoja bure. Watu wengi huwa tunaingia kwenye huu mtego na mwandishi anaonyesha kuwa watu wengi huwa wanajuta baaadae. Pia anaeleza kwanini watu tunakimbilia kununua vitu vyenye ofa za bure. Pia kaeleza jinsi makampuni yanavyoitumia hiyo opportunity.

2.the fallacy of demand and supply (why the price of pearls and everything else is up in the air?)
Watu wengi huwa tunafikiri price huwa inategemea demand, supply na factors zingine zakiuchumi. Mwandishi anatuonyesha kwamba hiyo mara nyingi huwa sio kweli.

Ameelezea mbinu ambazo wafanyabiashara wanatumia kufanya vitu vyao kuwa na bei kubwa. Kama wewe ni mfanyabiashara hii chapter itakufaa sana.

3.the cost of social norms (why we are happy to do things, but not happy when when we are paid to do them).
Hii chapter niliipenda sana. Kama wewe ni muajiri inakupa mbinu ni jinsi gani unaweza wafanya wafanyakazi wako waione kampuni kama nisehemu ya familia.

Kufanya hivyo kumeonyesha kuwa kunaongeza sana production kuliko hata kuwalipa watu mishahara mikubwa. Mfano badala ya kuwakata watu pesa kwaajili ya bima ya afya unaweza ukawapa mshahara ambao huwa wanachukua wakikatwa na ukawaambia afya ni bure.

4.why the mind gets what it expect?
Ni kwanini waislamu na wakristo wanakuwa na mtazamo tofauti katika jambo lilelile?. Na kwa nini mashabiki mmoja anasema goli na mwingine anasema offside?

Muandishi kwa kutumia mifano hai ameonyesha kwa nini mambo hayo hutokea. Pia amejaribu kutoa hints ni mambo gani ya kufanya kutatua mambo hayo.

5.why we are dishonest and what we can do about it?
Kwanini watu wanaibia waajiri wao?, muandishi anaonyesha pia kuwa katika hatari ya kukamatwa hakuathiri wizi wa mtu (very irrational!!).

Kitabu kina chapter 13 (maswali). Ni kitabu ambacho kinazungumzia habari za kitafiti na mwandishi anaushahidi wa kutosha kusapoti conclisions alizofikia. Pia kama mtu unainterest za kufanya researches especially zinazohusu mambo ya marketing kitakufaa sana.

Kwa ambaye amekisoma anaweza kuongezea mambo. Nashauri ukisome kitabu hiki kwani kila baada ya chapter utakuwa unaseama aahaaa kumbeee!!!au ndio maaaana!!!!. utakuwa hauibiwi kirahisi na utaanza kuishi predictably rational.
 
SOunds like a great book. Nitajaribu kukitafuta nisome. I have the feeling that one can use these manipulative technics beyond the business context. Imagine this book in the hand of a skilled (and hopefully ethical) political leader.

He might get his team, his party and virtually his entire political family to do thingd that advance his agenda...

Very good book nimeipenda sana summary imenipa hamu sana ha kusoma..hasa hiyo the cost of zero cost..inafanana sana na ule msemo kwamba there ia nothing like free lunch...everything has a cost
