A five-year-old boy from Githurai, Nairobi who was allegedly sexually assaulted by his father is set to undergo surgery at Kenyatta National Hospital.
His father has already been arraigned in court but over attempt to defile the boy’s six-year-old sister.
The incident was revealed when teachers noticed he had “difficulty walking.”
“I noticed he had “difficulty walking” but when I enquired, he lied to me that he had fallen and got injured,” one of the teachers said.
However, the curious teacher enquired further and the boy revealed that his father had warned him against revealing his ordeal. It was then that the teachers intervened and took the two children to a children’s home.
“The boy cries in pain when passing stool, and he can’t control it. He has to use diapers,” said a teacher at the Children’s home in Kahawa West where the siblings are now being cared for.
The boy has now been referred to the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) for surgery.
Neighbours told Citizen Digital that the children were going through hell in the hand of their father.
“Sometimes he would lock them in the house for days without food or someone to attend to them,” said a neighbor.
Kiamumbi Police OCS said they are collecting evidence on the matter, but said charges have been leveled against the man for attempted incest. KNH doctors learned of the boy’s ordeal through social media on Facebook and offered to assist him.
