Calender puzzle

New year; I am used to regular calendar the one on use now this of; Ano Domino (AD) before Christ and After Christ (AC) the one we use today on our daily life, but I have heard about Chinese calendar and Arabic calendar only, so today I want to know about other Calendars,especially, African Calendars if they exist or existed, how many are they and types of those calendars still on use how? and by whom?,any jf member with that knowledge please let me know and the audience at large.
