Going back to the basics;
Unemployment is a problem that needs to be addressed strategically both at individual level as well as National level. It is one thing to be productive and another to be employed. It is undeniable fact that we have both in our country both unemployment and unproductive labor.

The matter that I want to discuss today is with regards to a political solution to the problem of unemployment and to discus it I will highlight tow key areas, the causes of unemployment and the effects of unemployment. The focus is on the political causes and political effects of unemployment

Before I dive into the matter I would like us to try to answer these questions:
  • Is unemployment a political Problem?
  • Has unemployment got any political effects?
  • Can there be a political solution to the problem of unemployment?
There are other aspects of unemployment that can be looked at but the thread will be more focused on the political aspects of unemployment with hope that decision makers will have a chance to grasp some action items to use in tackling this problem

Political leadership gives a way forward to curb unemployment.

Recently Kenya government has collaborate d with Banks to offer loans to youth with affordable interest rate of 9 %.

While interests rate reaches 19 to 22% for non youth on loans.

Deliberate export of youth to developed countries. This can start in Easily passport issuance, Bilateral agreement like the one witnessed with South African government to accept Kiswahili teachers.

Foreign direct investment into manufacturing industries.

Hii ni kwasababu Mbowe kaongea Kingereza leo bila kusoma sehemu au? Ndo mwendo wa kuelekea weekend?

I think unemployment is an economic and social problem. It has not yet become a big political problem in Tanzania.

Many young graduate families are financially and emotionally destabilised by unemployment.

Some men and women are delaying marriage until their late 30s or early 40s due to unemployment or under employment.

And some opt to have few children due to
unemployment or under employment.

The neo-liberal capitalist global system is in
a crisis.

The solution is to have good governance and good policies. And to accept political diversity.

Government should give support to the entrepreneurial so as to reduce number of unemployment, we must shout without fear to our readers.
