I think CHADEMA has the upper hand at least in the following areas. First they can shape public opinions and perceptions. Second, the can put pressure on international community, especially those who help Tanzanian government, to reconsider their position.

For many years, it was believed that if you want to win a seat in the parliament you have to run as a CCM candidate. However, this election has shown us that you can run a successful campaign as member of another political party. Therefore, if CHADEMA keeps this momentum, the party would provide an alternative platform for those who seek political positions.

On the second area, the European Union delegation has discredited the Tanzanian electoral process. However, EU and other international communities are outsiders and cannot ask the government to change if there are no serious challenges from inside the country. Therefore, CHADEMA, CUF, and other opposition parties need to capitalize on this opportunity .

This is hard to swallow but your post has truth that should be received with great care.

Kosa la akina Mtei halivumiliki na ni kosa la kihistoria ambalo limepeleka vyama vingi nchi hii kuonekana ni kama CCM B.

The very same mistake have been continuing for long time, for about 18yrs! no one in opposition have dared to seriously discuss the matter at hand.

Wengine tumekuwa tukionekana adui wa chadema humu ndani ili hali tunapigania tuunde Tanzania moja ya wamoja wenye lengo moja la kuijenga nchi yetu, no matter which political parties you belong.

Chadema wataingia mioyoni mwa watu, their campaigns in next election will be cheaper and easier than ever! every one will be waiting to cast another vote that they will believe it will end CCM.

Yes CCM is stronger, because they have everything in their side, they have dola, UWT, Government, Jeshi etc. That come another bitter truth that Nyerere introduce siasa in Jeshi, usalama wa taifa and in Police!!! those politics killed democracy so is our task now to redeem it!

It is not time to discusss about how chadema they will succeed through this constitution, no..no, the ground that Chadema stands is far from the constitution , because we DONT HAVE ONE! it is not existing! the very constitution that gave Nyerere a title of chief minister so that he could report to QUEEN! we need new one!!!

Re-birth of TANZANIA was supposed to be in 1992! because Nyerere killed the very same system in 1967! but midwives were not to receive new Tanzania.

We dont have opposition parties as Malecela depicted, we have time waster and money hungry people. Chadema's move may distinguish them from those 'fake opposition parties' but they should be careful by not being fake themselves and prove the common sayings ''we dont have opposition parties' They may follow Odinga and Tsvangirai steps, or even CUF-Zanzibar, believe me, THIS VERY CITIZEN THAT I KNOW they will fully support Chadema.

Dont quit brothers, let us redeem Tanzania from this colony -named CCM

Chadema have seen mistake, they are now awake we will move foward at least WEAKERS MAY TURN TO BE STRONGERS this is what chadema tries to show us here, and I believe they have upperhand, even if not in bunge yes, in our heart.
