Job Description
The CEO is responsible to provide strategic direction and leadership towards the achievement of the Hospital’s mission, vision and values in accordance with established policies and guidelines. The CEO will oversee the overall Hospital operations including clinical and support. The workforce will comprise of more than 400 employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To oversee the development of a well-focused Hospital vision and mission and to coordinate, evaluate and monitor implementation.
• The incumbent will oversee the formulation and review of the hospitals functional policies, strategics, programs, plans, systems and procedures and to co-ordinate their implementation.
• Support the development and implementation of hospital strategic plan, resource mobilization and operational sustainability.
• Control and co-ordinate the functions and activities of all Departments and Units.
• Co-ordinate, evaluate, and monitor performance of the Hospital to ensure timely implementation of planned activities and within the hospital budget.
• Manage and administer all financial and non-financial resources of the Hospital in accordance with the highest standards and sense of responsibility.
• Ensure maintenance of good working relations at the Hospital and to coordinate with relevant Ministries, organizations and individuals on matters of interest to the Hospital.
• Ensure service delivery is of high quality, exceeding the clients’ expectations, exciting and delighting our customers everyday.

Educational Qualifications and Relevant Experience

• Holder of Master Degree in Medicine or related qualifications in one of the medical related fields. The candidate should be registered by respective professional board. Holder of a Super Specialization Certificate or a PhD shall have an added advantage.
• Must have work experience of at least twelve (12) years of which three (3) years should be served at a Managerial level in a major Hospital or integrated Healthcare system.
• Familiarity and experience in healthcare quality management and maintaining a patient-focused service in a continual learning environment.
• International experience, including in developing countries is preferred (but not essent.ial).
• A strategic thinker who is a motivator of Department I leads. Managers and staff.
• Results and systems oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to plan and execute mandate according to the Hospital strategic vision, mission and values.
• Demonstrated financial acumen with the ability to manage costs and revenues.
