Dear JF

As we all are aware that the Government of United Republic of Tanzania through The Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports in March 2018 signed a regulation know as

THE ELECTRONIC AND POSTAL COMMUNICATIONS (ONLINE CONTENT) REGULATIONS, 2018 which abbreviated as EPOCA to moderate Online Content Service delivery.

This thread is to clarify that the following group is not involved for licensing
  • Websites owners are excepted from registration and licensing provided that your website is not involved with current affairs and news
FAQ no2 translated from Swahili version state that:

Are website owners required to register?

No. If their website does not feature Current Affairs and News, otherwise it will require a license through registration.

However, blogs that delivery current affairs and news to the public, forums, online Radio and TV that do the same are required to apply for registration and pay the stated fees
