I had a contract for renting a house and I paid a rent totaling 2,100,000/= TShs. to rent a house for six months at 350,000/= TShs. per month. Before moving into the house my employer assigned me to move to another region; therefore I was forced to cancel my movement to the house and immediately I informed the landlord on the issue.
We agreed that I return the key for the house through the agent and she will compensate my money once she got another tenant for the house; I followed the matter for long time since May 2013 and now the landlady claims that she will only payback half of my money since she has also suffered the same by my contract cancellation and I don't see any logic on this.
I she right? What is my right in this issue? How I am going to claim my right?
