What Does Tanzania Know About COVID-19 That we Don't?

After the break of the coronavirus pandemic, quite a number of countries put up measures to combat the deadly virus.
Countries stopped both local and international flights as the number of people with coronavirus started to rise
Kenya reported the first coronavirus case before Uganda and Tanzania but just a week later the two followed suit
Kenya was seen to be handling the pandemic greatly that Health cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe received global recognition.
On the other hand, everyone was worried about Tanzania.
Cases increased daily and at one time surpassed Kenya.
Leaders castigated Tanzanian president John Pombe Magufuli on how he handled the pandemic since he didn't follow the laid out rules by World Health Organisation.
Defiant Magufuli refused to close churches claiming that was the plan of the devil but closed down churches.
He even chided Kenyan for having a lockdown due to the pandemic.
Mid last month Magufuli opened schools, sporting activities, and also the tourism sector where tourists were seen flocking the country.
Many people were seen without masks as the ministry of health announced a drop in the cases.
Magufuli himself declared Tanzania COVID-19 free and bashed those who expected more cases and mass burials.
He said through prayers the country had been able to win the battle against the virus.
Tanzania now seems to be doing well according to recent announcements by the health minister Ummy Mwalimu.
She said that they had closed more COVID-19 centers. She noted that out of the 84 centers only 11 are opened stating that the cases have gone down.
In Kenya however, the number of positive cases is approaching 8000.
More deaths have been recorded and so are the recoveries.
There is partial lockdown not to mention the curfew.
It has been months now and Tanzania seems to go on well.
The question on many people's minds is what is Magufuli doing differently and is there something Tanzania knows that we don't.
