MOH Delivers Another Worrying COVID-19 Projection That Could see 41M Kenyans get COVID-19
The ministry of Health has delivered another worrying COVID-19 projection that could see 41 Million Kenyans get COVID-19.
According to a publication by the Standard today, the government through the Ministry of Health has now revealed that over 31Million(68%) Kenyans will contract COVID-19.
The country is expected to experience this in November and the the Ministry of Health has further revealed that the cases could ride to 42.2Million cases which is approximately 88% in the worst case scenario.
This comes as the country I increasingly recording many COVID-19 cases with total cases now tallying at 12750 since the first COVID-19 case was reported in the country in March this year.
Yesterday the country recorded more than 600 COVID-19 cases which is so far the highest cases the country has recorded since the onset of the pandemic an indication that the virus is now spreading like wildfire in the Country.
The ministry of Health had projected a surge in COVID-19 cases in September and the rising numbers could be an indication that the country could be headed to it's worst COVID-19 days.
With the lifting of some COVID-19 containment measures in the country such as movement restrictions in areas such as Mombasa, Nairobi and Mandera which were high COVID-19 hotspot areas, increased movement of Kenyans in and out of these areas could see a surge in COVID-19 cases.
The President had however revealed that he would review the lifting of the movement restrictions in the next 21 days and could introduce the measures back if the country continues experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases.
MY TAKE: Pima, Pima, Pima, pimaaaa,
