Shocked onlookers at the scene of incident.
Police in Kagera region on Tuesday discovered a body of a young man believed to be 30 to 35 years dumped near a police barracks.
Speaking to journalists, deputy ward executive officer of Nshambya ward in Bukoba, Christian Ngaiza, said she got to know about the incident after a bodaboda rider, who said the citizens were afraid to inform the police.
Ngaiza said the incident was then reported to the police station that started their investigation by interrogating villagers from three villages around the bush, but they could not verify the identity of the victim's body.
The body was found at noon after a passerby saw it lying close to one of the existing fields of Bunkango police camp. The body was baldy inured beyond recognition.
According to the acting Kagera Regional Police Acting Commander, who also doubles as the Crimes Regional Officer, Gilles Mroto, a team of police officers have been sent to the scene to conduct thorough investigation.
Bukoba Municipality buried the body at Kyebitembe graveyard after failure to identify the body.
