GAUTRAIN is from Pretoria, Oliver Tambo Airport to CBD Johannesburg which is just 80km. It was built out of no credible plans, and it has nearly ZERO economic significance.

Signing a contract with China is like, ascribing to the boiling frog effect; a fable describing a frog being boiled alive slowly. If you drop a frog suddenly into boiling water, it will jump out, but if you put that same frog in a vessel of water and start heating the water gradually, it will adjust its body temperature accordingly until it reaches a stage beyond its capacity and dies foolishly.
It’s rather pathetic how China is re-colonizing Africa by appealing to the ignorance and selfish interests of our leaders. Today, the Chinese are offering mouthwatering deals to Africa, both in cash transactions and the outmoded or rather defunct barter trade which seem very attractive on the outlook but dangerous in reality.
The Zambian government contracted the Chinese, lazy-thought and glossed over details thinking they were granting consent to gernuine terms but the whole thing just morphed into modern day colonialism. China is now proposing to take over the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport should Zambia Government fail to pay back its huge foreign debt on time. The issue of whether Zambia posses the required economic muscle to repay that debt is in contention considering the amount involved. It’s typical of the Chinese strategy.
That moreover is not the only thing Zambian suffered from China; the Chinese own 60% shares of the Zambian National Broadcasting corporation which means, Chinese have an influence over what should or should not be premiered on their sets.
Ghana is equally towing same lane as our leaders have started signing contracts already; Chinese owned company, STARTIME is gradually gaining grounds over our major institutions, our biggest mining companies will soon be “taken” over by a Chinese company and many others. Now if this is not modern day slavery, what then is it? The 21st century African slave is never in chain; we are in debt caused by the ignorance or selfish interests of our leaders. Pathetic!
 

Selling ourselves is what we do best.

A lot of this is also largely a mental problem. Many Africans cross the seas to go advance other countries in terms of science, engineering, etc.

I am a large believer that Asia developed because they don't have the mental problems we do. They evaded colonization, kept their language, customs, etc. They boosted their education system which at least teaches them their own history. Why in heaven's name I learned more European than African history is a mistery to me. I really loved it when Magufuli said that "Being learned has nothing to do with knowing English."

On that note, I don't see China as a large threat or even colonization because we are largely still controlled by the West and China owning a port isn't going to change that. China is also largely in the lime light due to the big projects they have but the statistics paint a different picture.
 
China is not colonizing africa.they are building dams,power plants,roads,stadiums,hospitals,rails etc.back in my village in kenya,the chinese are paving roads i never thought would be built in my life time,i come from a rural farming community and those folks for sure will greatly benefit from that road to ferry their farm produce easily and faster to the market,i remember when it rained, using those roads became a nightmare,they virtually became impassable.folks had to result to donkeys to ferry the produce,shooting up the cost,now with the chinese in town,it will be a smooth ride all the way to the market,boosting productivity and pulling people out of poverty,how is that colonisation. On the contrary,the biggest threat to the african people is the africans themselves,yeah,the african themselves.not europeans or asians,the negroid themselves,your average typical african is a selfish being at the basic level,you don't want to see your neighbour prosper,its only in africa where we celebrate the downfall of our friends,relatives etc,i have come to observe that,that is inherently african,jelousy i say will kill africans,the same thing is replicated in our institutions,when one ascends to a position of power in a public office ,he or she embarks on a process of self enrichment using public resources,completly neglecting the responsibilities he or she is assigned,this tendency of looting public offices to the ground at the detriment of the majority is deeply ingrained in the african people,be it banks,pension funds,bursary funds,saccos etc...we just lack the collective responsibility to better ourselves.africa is the richest continent in terms of resources,landmass labour force and weather yet we are the poorest in standards of living,why???Look,the other races know to well how disorganised we are,and they will use that to rip us off.we have to get our act together or our generations will forever be condemned to poverty,lets understand our culture first,who we are,and how to go about our problems,you see,democracy is a western culture that westerners have perfected all too well.we cannot just copy paste it and expect it to work in africa,look,the chinese have had to adopt a mixture of free enterprise,socialism and state control to lift millions out of poverty,the futuristic skyscrapers of doha,UAE,saudi arabia are strictly nestled in a conservative muslim world,this people know what they want in life and are competing on global scale and contributing to humanity,nyinyi shindeni tu hapo na battle za upuzi ati dar vs nai muone kama umaskini utawatoka,bure kabisa!
