Pole pole mizigo inaongezeka, in Jan 2018 when freight services started, the SGR was carrying 108 containers per day to Nairobi ICD, right now in march, they are doing 320 per day.... The aim is to eventually reach the maximum of 1200 containers per day.

ey currently operates 2 pairs of passenger trains, 3 pairs of container freight trains and 1 pair of loose cargo freight trains per day. From 20th March, this will be increased to 2 pairs of passenger trains, 4 pairs of container freight trains and 1 pair of loose cargo freight trains per day. The frequency is scheduled to be increased to 2 pairs of passenger trains & 6 pairs of freight trains by April,2 pairs of passenger trains & 8 pairs of freight trains by June, 2 pairs of passenger trains & 10 pairs of freight trains by August and 2 pairs of passenger trains & 12 pairs of freight trains by November.

They are really doing a great job sensitizing potential customers through advertising especially on Tv. I think that has done a lot towards the huge increasing in the number of containers relieved in Nairobi ICD.

Naivasha is 120km from Nairobi.
