Dear President Museveni,
Allow me to skip formalities of greetings and jump right into the topic at hand as they are (I believe) crucial to me and the arts/humanities population at hand.
Firstly, In your own words, you said that we as non-scientists are useless and do nothing but think. Until recently I always thought that thinking was a thing to take pride in. Something that distinguished the human race from other species.
Secondly, and most interesting, how did you get into power? Did you by any chance somehow materialise from where you previously were to President? Did the media not give you a hand? Was it not journalists that wrote about you? Was it not artists that dealt with your propaganda and ad campaigns? Your posters, were those done by these "scientists"?
Thirdly, according to my understanding, scientists deal with the background and the mechanisations of things that mere mortals like me can never begin to fathom. But I know for a fact that it is the arts people that make the scientists work attractive enough for us to purchase, if not to understand how they function. Take cars for instance, would you buy a car that was just engine and dull looking metal? Would your infrastructure not be boring and basic if some "useless" person had not thought out ways to make them appealing?
Fourthly, the scientists you promote are the reason for all the pollution we have. Did you know that the ozone layer is on it's way to extinction? Did you know that the ice-caps in the North Pole are melting? Did you know that the destruction of trees is real? And who do you think fights for these things if not us?
Do you think that the tourists coming to your country are coming to see scientists work? When Presidents and ministers from other nations come to your country, who entertains them? Your scientists?
