Dont get the facts wrong, in fact the guy is not comparing Wema with others by their names! It's for sucess, and they were equally potential to succeed. There is nobody on earth hating success and good life, and he put that one very straight. She (Wema) remain stranded, while her fellow colleagues are in a different planet in terms of success, respect, intellectual capacity and recognition. It's higly illogical to believe your own identity is tied to misery, troubles, scandals and more disappointingly lack of success. If she is your favourite celebrity, you better be honest to your self that some of her conducts are disgusting and reasons for her downfall.
Once you are tied to the society whether personally or through your work, you cannot create your own world in everything you do.How could you say you are living the life which is contrary to the norms of the society which you need its support? If you think you are independent, and you can sustain yourself for everything why do you need the public to buy your films, to watch your tv programs? Your perception is too theoretical socially.
