Debate: Who do women really dress for?

It's the age old debate; do women dress mainly for themselves, for men or for other women?
Many people especially men take it for granted that women dress to impress the male species.

But the other day, i got talking to some ladies and they told me a shocking thing.
That most ladies dress to impress other ladies.
Its like a power game. A sort of show off game.
So as a man, i think i need to get reassured here .....................

Who do women really dress for? Just curious ..

It depends. . .
But definatly i wouldnt bother dressing to compete with other women! I always wanna look at my BEST..it makes me feel amazing!!

Dush.. swali zuri hili si jambo la ajabu kumkuta mwenza wako kakaa kwenye dressing table kwa nusu saa, sasa hapo inabidi ujiulize "Who is she tryin to attract"? me or someone else?

Depending on the situation I dress to please (not to impress or to compete with) myself, men, women...

I want to look great, but feel comfortable. So when I dress for myself I go for something simple (and short 🙂 )

I think men want women to look like women, and dress like women. So when I dress up for a male 'audience' I always look like a woman (wide range from hijab to a sexy dress depending on the circumstances)

Most of the time women look for the DON'T things other women do and then criticize them (constructively or negatively). So when I know I will come across other women I make sure I respect the rules of color matching, fashion, trend of the time etc.

But it is quite easy to cut across all three. Be myself, dress to please men and still be appropriate for a female 'audience'.

It really depend with time and location.

I dress to feel good about myself and I dress to keep others mouth shut, sometimes as show stopper. Mind you aint no cheap who will show skin at any cost.

All I want from men to see me as elegant and classy...lol

being and looking sexy is a microcosm of being a lady/woman....and the well dressed the lady the more the ability to attract a man.

I too , have been asking myself the same question but more suprised when a women reveals some part of her body purposely! More worse when the woman is married one!

mnakua mnaongea "haja pendeza hata","kakosea rangi" ....etc.

Huyu mnae mtoa kasoro yawezekana alivaa na mme wake akasema wow,its
nice,lakini kaja harusini wanawake wenzake wana mtoa kasoro tena
chini chini.
