These disputes is what you call small things, no one will rember such disputes in the history of things, the same way nobody remembers how many disputes traders have had over the years concerning mombasa port when it was really expensive inefficient

Nairobi Commuter Rail upgrade and extension currently in design stage - will also be responsible in evacuating some cargo from the sgr to Nairobi metro region, further reducing the cost of logistics

Mombasa Commuter Rail -currently on Feasibility phase will also be used to evacuate individual cargo to locations nearer to the importer further reducing cost of transport

There is a $250 million plan by some governors to refurbish the old meter gauge rail from Nairobi through thika up to Nanyuki, further increasing the reach of the SGR in delivering cargo to an importers backyard

Each one will be more thrilled by the rail that reaches closest to them, is that the case? Cause it is for me and I was/still i'm more exited about the Msa commuter as it goes through my hometown

The plan will bring together the counties of Nairobi, Kiambu, Murang’a Nyeri and Laikipia which will cost about 25 billion shillings with each county expected to contribute 100 million shillings.

This will go into purchasing locomotives, new wagons and get the track upgraded in order to get heavier trains.

The plan is one of the many among them the Lapsset project which the counties plan to integrate with neighbouring counties including Nakuru and Isiolo.

The ultimate plan is to connect to Isiolo and upper Eastern and Ethiopia.
