In the remote village of Emuoba, there lived a family considered to be of low class because apparently, they were cursed. They lived being ostracized by the rest of the village. They weren't included in village events like weddings and funerals. When they first arrived there, the village received them happily.

The chief gave them land to live and farm in. Things started going downhill when Nyaru, the mother, got pregnant and birthed twins when the village faced severe drought. The people were furious. Blinded by rage, they went and captured Nyaru with her two babies while her husband and sons were at work. They took them to the altar of their gods and slaughtered her babies and made her watch.

She was heartbroken and sank into the pits of depression. He husband, Bano, and her sons, Zanko, Mukuri, and Tanyo, found her wailing in front of the altar of the god of rain and thunder, Sanzu. They had to drag her home because she was thrashing and scratching them using them to kill her too. It was a sad spectacle. To say the three boys in the family were enraged would be an understatement. Their father advised them to get ahold of their emotions and not to do anything stupid. They paid heed to his words.

From then on, they were treated as outcasts. The people drove them to the edge of the village and called Nyaru names. Nyaru lost the will to live. One day when the rest of the family went to work, she hanged herself. It was another huge blow to the family. They buried Nyaru alone while the rest of the village celebrated.

They believe the curse had been lifted from them. The three sons vowed in front of their mother's grave to get revenge. Zanko. decided he wanted to kill the whole village. Zanko had the strength of a bull and he could fight 10 men at a time. Blinded by rage and faith in his strength, he took his arrows and machete and marched towards the village palace. He slaughtered all the men he met in his way. By the time he arrived at the palace, the guards had gotten wind of his plan. Around 50 guards surrounded him. He gave it his best but because of lack of a strategy, he was vanquished.

Mukuri took a different approach. He was a very good cook. He got employed in the palace and worked hard to be promoted to head cook. He was endowed with great patience. He awaited the day when the village had great celebrations at the place. He cooked splendid food but added poison to it. He aimed to kill everybody in that village. This poison killed within the first two minutes.

There was a catch he wasn't aware of because his family had been isolated. During these celebrations, the princess had to have the first bite of the food as a well-wisher to the prosperity of the king. And so you can all predict what happened. The princess had the first bite and that was the only bite that was taken. They wailed and buried the princess. They had already figured out that the food had been poisoned.

Mukuri was hanged in public. Bano, the father, out of shock got a heart attacked and passed away. The village started shouting, 'Blood for blood.' They chopped Bano up and fed him to the king's hunting hounds as Tanyo watched. He was crestfallen and felt as though he was carrying the weight of the whole world on his shoulders.

That night, Tanyo slept and got a vision. He saw himself sitting upon the king's throne. He awoke in the middle of the night vexed. He went back to bed and had a dream. He saw his family mouthing 'avenge us, avenge us, avenge us..' He knew what he had to. The following day, the village was having an assembly.

He went up the stage and bowed before the king and villages. He then said, 'I deeply and sincerely apologize to the king and all his loyal subjects for all the misfortune. I wish to live peacefully amongst the villagers. I am too lonely in the outskirts of the village. I beg you to allow me to live and work in the village.' Feeling sorry for Tanyo, the king allowed him t live in their original ut and work as a palace guard.

Tanyo started putting his plan in motion. He seduced the king's youngest and favorite daughter. The princess forced her dad to let them wed. The wedding ceremony was held the following week. Tanyo was now the king's son-in-law. After three days, he went o visit the king's advisor and stole his well-known knife. He then told the advisor he had found an interesting hole in the forest near their home and though it could be a war passway dug by the neighbouring village. The advisor in panickmode told Tonya to go show him.

Tanyo's plan was falling into place. When they reached the forest, using a handkerchief adorned with a sleeping drug, Tanyo knocked the advisor out. He then carried him to the other end of the forest. That same night he went and slaughtered the king in cold blood using the advisor's stolen knife. He then shoved it under the bed after having turned things upside down to show there had been some struggle and the advisor had forgotten his knife as he was escaping.

In the morning the servants were heard shouting. He rushed to the king'd room too. Acting all bewildered, he frantically asked what was going on. When they told him the king had died, he furiosly inquired over who could have done this. They told him they had no idea. Saying the killer must've left a clue, he went in and searched all the corners of the room. He told the others to search too.

One bent to check under the bed and found the advisor's knife stained with relatively fresh blood. Tanyo ordered the guards to go apprehend the advisor at his house. They came back and reported that the advisor was missing. He said he must've escaped and ordered them to look for him in the forest. Meanwhile the advisor had just awoken and found himself face to face with a wild cat. He started running and on his way found himself parallel to the palace guards who had concluded that he was on the run from yhr crime he had committed.

They captured him and bound him with ropes. They dragged him back to the village and took him to the slaughter area. That night, Tanyo went to see the advisor and told him to incriminate the other members of the village council and the king's bodyguards and that is the only way he could save himself.

On the morrow, when the people of the village had gathered up and the questioning began, the advisor said that the members of the council and bodyguards had conspired to overthrow the king and he was forced. The villagers were enraged and all the people mentioned were apprehended as well.

The advisor then looked at Tonya hopefully only for Tanyo to order the prison officer to behead all of them. The following day he went to the alter of the god Sanzu and told the villagers he got a vision. He was ordered to tell villagers to fast for seven days without eating anything and they would be cleansed. Whoever was found eating was beheaded. After the seven days it rained and the people made Tanyo king. Whoever had not died within the seven days Tanyo forgave. That way he had attained the goal of avenging his family and he became king as a cherry on top.

Every individual one meets, at one point or the other in life, has goals. And most work hard to achieve these goals. Have you ever wondered why most don't achieve the goals they set for themselves? The concept of realistic achievemt strategies comes in. From the story, Zanko, Mukuri and Tanyo all had the same goal. The problem came with their planning. Zanko had strength. Had he planned his attacked strategically he could have killed every other villager. But he just blindly went with his strength alone.

He teaches us that our talents alone are not good enough to help is achieve our goals. We do need a plan to emerge victorious. If a student wants to get a 1.7,it is possible. But he has to know that he still needs a plan. He needs to breakdown the goal. To get a 1.7, one has to get all As. In order to get an A one has to aim for 100%. In order to get 100%, one must know the subject content well. How does one know the content well? This is where they look at their strengths or talents. Do they have a good memory or quick understanding? In this way, they would easily achieve the 1.7 goal.

Mukuri had a good strategy and used his cooing talents well. His problem stemmed from his lack of extensive research. He represents those individuals who have talent, goals and strategy. The issue is tat they base their strategies off of partial research. Take an example of a farmer who wants to become rich.

He has heard that in a particular region, onions grow so well and farmers are getting a lot of money. Ending there, he estimates that if he takes a bank loan and farms for a years he would have enough profit to pay the bank loan and run his project on his money. He rushes there and starts farming. He's glad with the produce only that when he harvests, there are limited cars to transport the produce to markets. His onions rot and he gets a massive loss. Had he gone there to do extensive research before hand, he would have seen the opportunity in transport vehicles and changed his plan to get a loan to buy a small truck to transport the farme's produce.

In time he would have gotten the money to pay back the loan, start the onion farming and would have his own transport hence reducing the production costs. With time he could expand production by buying the other farmers lamd and making them tenatas. He would monopolize the onion farming. In time he would have attined his goal of becoming rich. Thisis a case where the goal is there, but the achievement strategy has to be realistic and fullproof.

Tanyo gave a really good example of a fullproof strategy. He had seen all that could have possibly given him away and health with it even before putting his plan into action. A fullproof plan is one that could hardly go wrong because it was meticulously designed and everything was though of ahead of time.

All the great businessmen out there have definitely followed Tanyo's example of planning. Take an example of a man who wants to introduce a confectionery brand of his own. He has great ideas but he can't just introduce a company because he's low on cash and personnel as well. What he could do is start joint ventures with well known restaurants. He could prepare his baked goods like biscuits or cakes at home and deliver to these restaurants using advanced heat storage utensils or carriers.

The signed contract would probably allot 70% of the profit to the businessman and 30% to the restaurant selling his products. This would tremendously benefit the bussinemsn because of a number of reasons. Fisrt, he would be collecting profit in order to create enough capital to start his confectionery company. Second, he would be introducing his products to the product. In time when he stops supplying his products to these restaurants, he would have already created a market for his company.

All those who loved his products would have to buy them from his company. These people would spread the word to the friends who'll tell their friends and his market would expand due to demand. The growth of the company would be a sure thing. H e would achieve his goal.

People need to learn how to set strategic and meticulous plans for goal achievement. They say patience is a virtue but this writer says blind faith is the key to the failure in achieving goals. One should have faith with what they have already planned and seen is to come.

If one plans well, even when people tell them they would fail, they would have the assurance to them 'Wait and see for yourself.' Your goals are not impossible. Never limit your mind. You can achieve just about anything you set your mind into. All that's needed is fullproof planning. This writer wishes you success in all your endeavors . I hope this work would help you see the world of goals in a whole new and positive light. Tchao!
