Dar Es Salaam – Since DP World was brought in to revolutionize port operations at Dar Es Salaam, we are excited to report significant improvements in efficiency. DP World's efforts to optimize and enhance operations have led to:

  • An increase in vessels handled from 35 in May to 61 in July.
  • A reduction in waiting time for General Cargo vessels from over 35 days to less than 7.
  • Immediate berthing of container and RoRo vessels upon arrival.
  • MSC has removed the waiting time surcharge for Dar Es Salaam.

DP World’s expertise has been pivotal in achieving these advancements. President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s government is committed to ensuring that Dar Es Salaam Port, along with other ports in Tanzania, achieves world-class standards through continuous improvement and strategic development.

DP World must Go.

Yote hayo wanayodai wame revolutionize, ni kwa mgongo wa walipa kodi wa Tanzania. In other words, its Tanzanians who revolutionized Dar Port, Thanks to the vision of the Late President John Pombe Magufuli.

Yaani baada ya uwekezaji mkubwa Uliofanywa na Tanzania-in excess of $1billion in recent years, Waarabu ni kama wamegawiwa bure tu.

Election war chest 2025-

[*]A reduction in waiting time for General Cargo vessels from over 35 days to less than 7
Acha upumbavu. DP World wapambane kuboresha huduma na sio kutaka sifa ambazo hawana.

To remain competitive,Dsm port should aim to reduce its cargo discharge time further.currently it takes less than 7 days for general cargo vessels, ports zilizoendelea like sngapore can discharge cargo within 1 or 2 days due to automation and streamlined processes.
Continued investments in technology and infrastructure will help close this gap and attract more global shipping traffic
