Edenville Energy ramps up production at Tanzania coal project

Edenville Energy said it had increased the rate of production at its Rukwa coal project in Tanzania to 230 tonnes per day.
The reading was taken from 25 May, the date of a previous update, to 9 August. Average daily sale shipments amounted to 43 tonnes.
That compared to the average daily throughput of 143 tonnes from 1 January to 24 May and average daily sale shipments of 22 tonnes.
The company also said that it was targeting the plant upgrade tasks to be completed by the end of September, allowing increased throughput and production.
An updated mining plan was expected to be completed in September, which would allow work to start on opening up new seams located to the north of the current excavation.
