Those who have a problem of using letters ''l'' and "r" interchangeably they Normally make terrible mistakes in English than it is in KISWAHILI.Let us observe few examples here,
in kiswahili instead of KULA becomes KURA,also
RULA>LURA,
KERO>KELO
let us also see the outcome when it comes to ENGLISH
ROYALTY>LOYALTY
GRASS>GLASS
ROCK>LOCK
RIGHT>LIGHT
As you can see each of the words above carries distinct meaning and quite different implication

Quite true Stany. So what's your advice to those who interchange 'l' and 'r'?

advice for them is to make proper use of words as they are... no short cut

The effect of improper use of "r" or "l" could also be observed in either language be it Swahili, English to mention a few.

For your cited case, Swahili as an example:

Kula-Kura.

The incorrect use of "r" or "l" might result into the following ambiguous meaning:

Kula=Eat?
Kura=Vote?

The bottom line is:all languages would need one to adhere to its correct use.
