The Public Service Commission has on Friday shortlisted six candidates for the position of chairperson at the EACC.

Retired Anglican Archbishop Eliud Wabukala is among those shortlisted for the position at the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission.

Others are William Kirwa, Philemon Mwaisaka, Peter Ondieki, Rose Osoro and Erastus Iguna.

They are expected to appear for interviews on November 17 at PSC offices in Nairobi.

The position of EACC chairman became vacant following the resignation of Philip Kinisu on August 31 after he was implicated in the Sh791 million NYS scandal.

What do you suggest we do, should EACC be disbanded or what.
No they nees to be assigned their own Police wing .....special forces kama recce

All its members be classified by parliamentary committee with samples citizens taking part in it

UK needs to make corruption capital offense and that once accused you need to immdiately step down temporarily for investigation

They need to Activate sting operations and budget money for the same project set aside 20bn kshs to be used for corruption sting operations

Ie intentionally bribe all govt employees and entities and all who take bribe get 10-20 yrs to life jail term ......

I have dozens of Relas in government if given this task i will need to denounce everyone !!!.......that is how hard corruption fighting is .....this is why i think No kenyan in kenya or anywhere at this age will ever fight corruption

Lets see what UK is going to do..his own sister

First, Uhuru should acknowledge that institutions without political leadership cannot fight corruption. He needs to becomr Magufuli-Kagame like. but he can't, he's too lazy.

Disband the Eacc. let the cid do that job.

CID is worse NO

Denouncing relas, that's commendable, however, believe me very few Kenyans are willing to fight corruption. These things are easier said than done, I've seen corruption, I've participated in it in one way or another, every Kenyan.... everyone of us has somehow been corrupt, benefited from the vice and about 90% of us are only big talkers but unwilling to fight it.

Parents buying exam papers for their children, people selling relief food meant for the dying, medics stealing drugs from hospitals.... thousands of examples depicting how corruption is deeply entrenched in our society. Majority of us are just hypocrites, good at making all the noise and pointing fingers, but are unwilling to take action to clean the murk within and around ourselves.

I see people participating in anti-corruption talk, most them are just delusional or mere pretenders. Back in the days when I was a youth and an activist, I remember how people used to be bribed to demonstrate against specific individuals in government. The same protestants were big talkers and would often be invited in TV shows and debates to talk about the vice of corruption.

Just observe the way counties are being run, corruption everywhere, we are deep into the woodwork. Yaani the more money you make out of corruption, the more you invite sycophants around you. Waiguru is now gunning for gubernatorial and thousands of poor Kenyans are willing to vote for her. Ngilu has been accepted into CORD as a heroine, yet she was kicked out due to corruption. Ruto has been mentioned in it all, dare and touch him then you get the wrath of Rift Valley.

We can talk, make noise and look good.....but deep inside ourselves, we are all hypocrites.

hahaa...reminds of a quote from a certain proffesor at catholic university, he used to condemn vanity and say The late Mzee kenyatta grabbed land the size of israel but was buried in a land piece smaller than a toilet. Things we chase in life...hmmhh
