The piece below is why Government Spokesman Muthui Kariuki threatened to have journalist and blogger Betty Njoroge arrested.

Enough with the propaganda already, Jubilee!

I think parents should do more than just pay for their teenagers school fees; they should go out of their way to forge a sound relationship with them, one that is not based on arrogance and violence but on mutual respect and love. Teach your kids how to be honest and clear minded adults, because the result of just ignoring your teenage miscreants is one Muthui Kariuki.

Talk about a juvenile delinquent; Muthui Kariuki is the epitome of a childish deviant. As government spokesman for the backside of the Jubilee government, Muthui is really good at his job. In between issuing threats while claiming to be accommodative, this character has the audacity to claim that Raila Odinga’s politics are “chest thumping, hateful, arrogant and toxic.”

The pot calls the kettle black. For someone who has a record ZERO accomplishments as a civic leader this hot head sure brings a mouthful of trash to the table. By the way, he is a perfect representative for the Jubilee government which, despite having several stalwarts with over 20 years experience in government, have also a record of ZERO accomplishments.

Or as one colleague expressed recently, within the first 100 days of the Kibaki administration 1 million children went to school under the free primary education program; within the first 100 days under the Jubilee administration all children were out of school.

Of course, when you are busy doing nothing and yet being paid 76 times the average GDP, you need a mouthy person to sidetrack the people by saying all sorts of ridiculous things about perceived enemies. We are now to believe that despite Jubilee forming the government, and despite Jubilee dominating Parliament, the Senate and the County administrations, Raila Odinga is still the bane of Kenya and is somehow behind the many problems Jubilee is actually not dealing with.

The propaganda machinery in this government needs to improve by the way. Couldn’t they try something more intelligent than filling the daily news with stories of men shagging livestock? Or repeatedly insulting a man you claim is insignificant. When it comes to stupid utterances, none can out do Muthui Kariuki.

I don’t know what’s worse, some wannabe loud mouth or a president who is busy posting his latest status update in a rugby shirt. Each time I see his photos of how he was where laughing with who I feel so nauseated. Meanwhile his deputy is busy reinventing reality by calling himself a hustler. Is it the pain of the lie that makes him cry so much or what?

A man who made a fortune through corrupt means turns around and calls it hustling, another one who spends his time goofing off turns around and complains to teachers about the high wage bill meanwhile he does nothing for the economy and in fact sanctions ridiculous expenditure.

Now look here – why were our children out of school while you decreed that 250 million kshs will be spent on giving a retired 80 plus year old an office? Then you say the wage bill is high. It looks like it’s only high when you have to do the right thing and pay the service providers their dues.

Meanwhile, I expect that the next thing the government will say out its backside AKA Muthui Kariuki is that there is no money to pay for the free maternity despite it being a Jubilee campaign promise. That won’t surprise me at all, because there is money for luxury planes to Congo Brazzaville and money for retired old fogeys to have an office but no money to pay teachers and of course no money for hospitals.

I don’t even know how Uhuru Kenyatta finds the temerity to attend social functions. Wait. I get it now. He isn’t president, he is a celebrity! That’s why if he wears a rugby t-shirt, automatically he supports the rugby team with funds right? Where is that money coming from, if there is no money to pay the teachers?

This government is beyond redemption really. Rather than attempt to be functional we are going to be submitted to 5 whole years of propaganda and hogwash. Pictures of matching ties and laughing buffoons coupled with lurid tales of political bogeymen meanwhile the entire system is incapable of any form of decent service delivery. All of this will be conducted via the dumbest outlets no less.

Government Spokesman Muthui Kariuki was so incensed by Betty Njoroge's piece which appeared in her column in the People Daily and in her bettywaitherero.blogspot.com that he called her father (a former workmate) and threatened to have her arrested if she didn't pull down the article and refrain from writing such pieces in future.

That Muthui Kariuki is a worthless piece of doo doo Mcpoo poo poo! Ain't he the one who said Raila was still hogging six government vehicles only to be contradicted the following day by the internal affairs minister or someone like that?

It's clear the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing, which begs the question, do these people (Jubilee) even know what the hell they are doing?

This so called government spokesman leaves a lot to be desired. With his utterances you are left wondering if he at all ever set foot in classroom....let alone graduate for that matter. He might be highly educated in a certain craft but he comes across as an individual who never did get some education in communication skills. As a government spokesman he needs to realise the Govt represents everybody and he needs to juggle a non-partisan agenda very carefully...but as we know these folks are out on a mission!

This man has violated a cardinal rule as a govt spokesman wherby he is not supposed to show emotion or to put it in a better way...why is he frothing in the mouth about Raila with reasons that have no bearing whatsoever? Did he even stop to ask his 'superiors' before he opened his foul mouth? Watching this fellow whine about Raila one can rightly assume that this is a happless partisan hack in action. Not a government spokesman!..There is a huge difference between being a government spokesman and being a partisan hatchet man!

The Government spokesman should talk about things that are serious to the country and matter a great deal to Wanjiku and not whine about matters that can be handled elsewhere by the relevant authorities. For example if the governement has evidence that Raila organised the heckling in Kisii, then they should show us what laws were broken and then take it further by arresting the concerned parties. If the govt believes Raila is hoarding their cars then I believe they have the necessary channels and manpower to reclaim them. What purpose does it serve to come and whine about 'Raila has govt cars that he has refused to let go'. What wimps are these who lead Kenya today? Are they scared of Raila that much? If Raila is using sirens and breaking the law, then have the traffic police apprehend the guy!

It is obviously stupid and moronic for anyone to say Raila should be accorded less dignity than Kibaki or Moi simply because he is still active in politics. The benefits and perks for retirement are in recognition of past contributions and not a reward or punishment that is used to coerce somebody to tow a particular line.

Jubilee government should therefore tell Kenyans whether their agenda is to fix the myriad problems facing the citizenry or is their agenda taming one Raila Amollo Odinga.

There is this fear-mongering that has that always been peddled around that governments which represents the will of the people are always creating ways of taming Raila out of fear. Which is a good fodder jokes for the international newspapers. Raila is not a god, but is just a human being just like any other, and Dr. Job there is no need to mortify him. If he has any leadership qualities left in him, let him spare himself the agony of operating in buildup controversies. But kenyans read otherwise, because his actions speak louder than words

The march 4 election was conclusive and satisfactory and will go down into history as an honor to African democratic ways

no one is so scared of Raila. Probably, it is the Kenyan people that are becoming scared now more than ever. We should ask ourselves whether reform is should be burdensome We should ask ourselves the simple question, has Raila retired from active politics? The answer obviously would be no. if he can admit to the public that he has retired then, he should retain the vehicles. If he is seeking for an elective term, let him surrender the vehicles. Citizens must be able to understand, his position.

All hope is not lost (CORD has an opportunity to re-strategize and clinch the presidency in the next general election).

There is no need of debating things that focus entirely on raila because, if we waste time on quarrels about one man, make no mistake the continuous mention of his name in newspapers, radio televisions is the only way he can devise ways of getting attention and political mileage because he is not currently involved in any progressive development, other than being in the opposition. So, could be his loyalists (Ab-titchaz, Livefire, Mekatilili, Crucial man, are helping to make this happen. It is the current government that has its hands tied and committed to bring about CHANGE that kenyans need. We are doing the country wrong by narrowing down the country to just the interests of one man while there still remains challenges to be tackled

If you are crediting free Education as the successes of the kibaki regime, then recant the opinion as withered

The issue of free education had been a pain in the neck of the Kibaki government. no leader even economists during the kibaki era, came up to address the bottlenecks and the challenges facing it. Even then, there had been no proposals to employ more teachers. Free education has not been a rosy affair. In fact, It has been a pain, until; now when the current secretary of education found it necessary to employ eleven thousand teachers, which the Kibaki government failed to do. It will only take continued efforts by the current governments to ensure that free education works. If not it will continue to be a burden to the taxpayer, parents and students. That is the reason teachers are now striking because of the constrains they have been facing until now.

Always misled that political arguments and counter-arguments are reforms.

Many a times raila has been heard quipping that he was an 'equal partner' with kibaki in the coalition government. And indeed he was (sharing on a 50-50 basis). It does not make sense that raila and his staunchest of supporters here Dr.Job are now representing ideas that they failed to represent or recognize and implement while in government. The only question to ask them, is why now?? why not then??

The only sensible thing for CORD to do is to wish the jubilee government well in their endeavors in government. Otherwise among the 15 presidential hopefuls and parties, it is the only party that has lost its 'headship', because leaders within are still enclaved on hero worship and buildup arguments, rather than fulfilling what they need to do as opposition.

This is a basket full of trash, these people are still mourning the fall of their King,,Raila
Odinga.

They are trying to fault the jubilee government,, but they cannot point out,,clearly,,where the
government has gone wrong.

They keep shadow boxing,,but will hit no one.

They are just,,cowards,,, failures,,the like of prof Makau Mutuas,,people who since
Moi's days,,survives in the west ,,,,,,,by crying wolf,,,while fooling those,,Wazungus,,so
as to remain,,in their payroll,,and relevant.

Then,,,, you hear this Betty whatever,,,, talking about achievements.

Can she tell us about her achievements,,,her fathers,,first,,before talking
about others????

What about their fallen king,, Nebuchadnezzar Amolo Odinga,,,a man who
is now crawling on knees,,eating grass and that will be for five years,,,,having
fallen from sweet power,,,,where he used to be everything,, the Kenya's,,,,
Alfa and Omega,,,,, what did he achieve,,all those years,,,, and never talk about
the constitution for it was a concerted effort,,, by all Kenyans.

Raila Odinga left Kenya and Kibera,,worse than he found them,,,what is
the meaning of the word,,achievement???????

I am getting confused.

What have Makau Mutua,,Githongo and Kiai's of this Kenya,,Orengos,,Ayang' Nyong'os,
Kajwang's and so on,,,achieved,,,before even talking of Muthui,,

A man we never knew in Kenya,,before the coming of jubilee government???

Then listen to this other thing,,,that Muthui called Betty's father and told
him what,,,,can anyone with some little brain see what is happening here????

That these families knows each other,,, very well.

That Betty is very furious of Muthui's success,,her father's classmate,, in his life
that she choose, instead, to attack,,him.

She is clearly avenging her father's,,,failure,,of being a nobody,,in Kenya,
when Muthui is shining.

What a good daughter she is trying to be,,,but,,it will never work,,,,that is what
they called,,cutting a Mugumo tree with a razor.

What Muthui has achieved,,,,, reached where he is,,will only be done by
a very few lucky Kenyans and not the like of this bitter Betty and his
poor father.

The best Betty can do is become one of many,,,, Raila's concubines
and share his grief and cry with him,,,,,,,,mama yooo,,mama yooos.

The issue here was very clear, let not anyone expect pay for months they have been out of work, ambayo kwangu mimi it makes valued sense. even at your workplace the same is very true, you work to earn. a very simple principle which means even though there is a democratic environment, it is not a replacement for structured negotiations.

Kwahivyo, kama kazi ya Raila kwenye opposition ni kuendeleza kampeini zake kwa uvumi, in the name of upinzani, basi he is redefining opposition politics.

Meanwhile, Tangu kupambazuka kwa siasa za demokrasia nchini kenya, uongo magazetini umeongezeka maradufu na sioni lolote baya kuhusu tukio hilo maana naamini demokrasia tulinao is facing its real test na itashinda hizi forces
