MY TAKE: Kumbe ndio sababu Ethiopia inazidungua ndege za Kenya huko Somalia, na Mara kwa Mara ENDF wanavuka mipaka na kuingia Kenya na kuua wakenya na kurudi Ethiopia bila KDF kuchukua hatua yoyote, Jibu limepatikana.

Military: Ethiopia Far Better Than Kenya? Here Are The Facts

Quoting Bertrand Russell "War doesn't determine who is right, only who is left" and that not withstanding here are some facts that proof Ethiopian National Defense Force is actually far better and maybe stronger that Kenya Defense Forces.

GlobalFirePower.com uses various factors to come up with a Nation's PowerIndex ('PwrIndx') score which is a determiner in nation's rank regarding military strength. Ethiopia is ranked number 60 with a PwrIndx of 0.8612 while Kenya is ranked number 84 with a PwrIndx of 1.5287. The lower the Power index value the more powerful the Nation's fighting capabilities is (theoretically speaking).

And this is why: Kenya had a population of 48,397,527 (2019) while Ethiopia had a population of 108,386,391. Kenya Available manpower is 19,600,998 while Ethiopia is 41,143,474.

In Kenya 12,662,245 are Fit-for-Service when called upon while in Ethiopia, the number stands at 25,508,954.
In Kenya there is about 24,150 active Personnel while Ethiopia has 162,000 5 times more than Kenya. Both countries do not have reserve personnel.

In terms of Equipments ; Kenya Defense Forces have a total of 150 aircraft while Ethiopia has 86. [Photos/Courtesy]

Kenya has 17 combat aircraft while Ethiopia has 24.
Kenya have 20 military Transport(Fixed Wing) and Ethiopia have only 9.

KDF have 20 Trainers fleets while Ethiopia have 20. KDF have 2 special-mission aircraft.

Kenya have a total of 79 helicopters while Ethiopia have 33.

Kenya doesn't have lethal Attack Helos while Ethiopia has 8.

KDF have 76 combat tanks while Ethiopia have 400 of them.

KDF have 479 Armored vehicles while Ethiopia have 114.

KDF have 30 Self-Propelled Artillery while Ethiopia have 67.

KDF have 20 Field Artillery while Ethiopia have 650.

Kenya doesn't have a Rocket Projector while Ethiopia have 183 in total.

Ethiopia being a landlocked country it doesn't have a Fleet Strength, KDF have 19. KDF have 7 Coastal Patrol. In case of unavailability of official data Globalfirepower.com uses Estimates.

Which country do you think Is Stronger than the other? Leave a comment.

Africa’s 2020 military power ranking (GFP)
Friday, 07 February 2020 12:44

(Ecofin Agency) - Global Fire Power (GFP) has unveiled its 2020 Global Power index which ranks countries in the world based on their military forces. This year’s ranking assessed 138 nations, including 24 from Africa.

GFP based its rating on five criteria namely, the number of serving military members, the naval force, fuel availability for military operations, the number of jet fighters, the defense budget, and logistics flexibility.

Egypt remains atop the list in Africa with a power index score of 0.1872, thanks to an estimated military strength of 920,000 soldiers and 11,700 armored vehicles. The country is the only one from Africa in the world’s top 10, ranking 9th.

Algeria comes second with a score of 0.4659, thanks to 2,000 armored vehicles and 316 rocket and missile launchers. South Africa is 3rd scoring 0.4985 with 2,000 armored vehicles and 81,300 serving soldiers. Nigeria follows with a score of 0.6485 (120,000 military personnel and 1,789 armored vehicles). Angola closes the Top 5 scoring 0.8379 with 115 rocket and missile launchers and 126 military helicopters. Morocco, Ethiopia, DR Congo, Sudan, and Libya, follow respectively to form the Top10.

The perfect power index score, according to GFP, is 0.0000, meaning the farther a country is from this score, the lower it ranks. Let’s note the ranking does not take nuclear power into account and does not penalize landlocked countries that have no naval forces.

The world’s top 5 military powers is still dominated by the USA, followed by Russia, China, India, and Japan, which replaces France in the list.

Hahahaha, when Kenyans over here posts threads against Tanzania, that is OK, but when a Tanzanian does the same, it is bad thing and is becoming " Inferiority complex".

When Kenya blocks Tanzanians driver to enter Kenya, that is Ok, because Kenya is afraid of Corona, but when Uganda blocks Kenyans drivers to enter Uganda, that is very bad thing and you demonstrate, cry, shout all over and claim that you are stigmatized and been marginalized by Ugandans.

Really you are guys are permanently stupid people.

Nothing serious here tuusan, kindly look at all the threads here, how many are opened by Kenyans?., majority ni Tanzanians in Kenyan news forum, havent you noticed? Nothing wrong but mukijibiwa kubali si kulia lia vile wenzako wamefanya kwa ile thread ya military rankings.,
Ujinga ni Tanzania kufikiria wamefikia Kenya[emoji23][emoji23][emoji6][emoji6]
