🇪🇹 Ethiopia surpasses export revenue goals, reaching $1.5 billion in first quarter of the current fiscal year
Ethiopia’s Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration has reported that export revenue has achieved 132% of its target, state media ENA reported. This marks an increase of over $700 million compared to the same period last year, a “remarkable improvement” according to the ministry.
📈 The ministry highlighted the role of collaboration with sector stakeholders and exporters in driving this success. With ambitious economic growth goals of 8.3% for the fiscal year, Ethiopia’s agricultural, manufacturing, and mining sectors are expected to remain key contributors to the East African nation's economy.
