Dear JF members, this is an E-mail i received from UDEC (University of Dar es salaam Entrepreneurship Center), together i have attached guidelines notes for application of AECF
Dear , Happy New Year.
In case you missed it, at the end of last year the Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF) launched two new competitions for businesses working in Tanzania:
· Tanzania Agribusiness Window (TZAW) competition
· Renewable Energy and Adaption to Climate Change Technologies (REACT) competition for East Africa
Attached is a copy of the presentation given at the Tanzania launches by AECF Director, Hugh Scott, and the team.
TZAW will provide grants of up to US$1 million to for-profit companies for ideas in agribusiness and value chains which extend from rural Tanzania to local and international markets.
REACT will provide grants of up to US$1.5 million to for-profit companies for business ideas in low cost, clean energy and technologies for adapting to climate change.
These competitions present exciting opportunities for funding for business. The competitions are open until January 31st 2011.
